    I got a letter saying I was too late for the free gift, so if your letter doesn't mention it you might be OK.

    Got an email back saying they will not be offering me an alternative and have cancelled my subscription. The ref number is right but they called me Miss Stevens which isn't me so they better refund it to the right card!!!!! Not impressed by ipc's customer service to be honest.

    I replied correcting my name and asking for an explanation of how they allocate the gifts and expressing my disappointment in their service, will post if they respond.

    Hmm...just had a similar conversation with them as the letter arrived today stating no free gift as stocks unavailable when I subscribed. I have told them that I have a screen shot the day after I ordered where it is still advertised and they are supposedly ringing me back about it later today. We see...If they don't sort it them I'll simply cancel the DD and report them to the relevant body for false advertising.
    It aint over til I've done singing....
  • Thanks supermezzo can you keep us updated with that please? still no response from them since I asked about allocations of gifts...although I have a funny feeling that they will turn (relatively) nasty and basically say stuff it as they will no doubt find a legal loophole somewhere!

    I've checked on the status of my order, I placed it on the 7th and had the instant e-maila acknowledgement but nothing since i.e. no order number or confirmation when my subscription would start...

    I called on Friday and was advised that my subscription would start in April but that there was no free gift, I explained I had selected the Benefit promotion, she asked for the promotion code which I gave and she advised that this had not attached to my order but the she would order this separately and would take up to 28 days for delivery... fingers crossed?

    Who knows why they are so inconsistent with their answers.

  • I received similar email (as ones above) saying that the free gift was out of stock when I ordered... so I just cancelled the subscription - I wouldn't normally, but that was the main reason I went for it! :-)

    Hmmm I ordered on the 6th and I've emailed and asked if they would please let me know when my subscription would start and when I will be recieving my free Benefit gift. How annoying not to have changed the website once they had run out of gifts.

    I'll post my reply if I get one :)

    Have just found this posted by Abzorba on hot deals:
    "Had a letter through the post today about the subscription.

    It states:
    "As instructed we have processed your Credit Card authorisation and have collected your first payment of £12.00 for your first 12 issues. A further payment of £29.40 has been collected for the next 12 issues.""

    Sorry if already posted but thought we should all be aware.
