ok batch cooking wise, let's make 1 batch carrot cake on monday, 1-2 batches depending on family size (PB and Frankie, you may need to make 2!) HM Bread, 1 batch of apple curd, an onion tart, and a batch of tomato oaty biscuits
I'm going to go through all the recipes in the usual place updating where I've had to make weeeny changes to quantities to best use our ingredients.
If I set myself the mental deadline of sunday lunchtime for that, will that be ok for a monday batch cook day?

weezl I've ordered it with the full knowledge that I may need to pick some extra stuff or maybe even take a few picks back.
It works better for me to have everything in ready for batch/bulk cooking on Monday.0 -
weezl That all sounds fine to me. Will we be getting a full menu before then?0

If I get my order to come on wednesday morning 10-12 slot, will I have enough time to batch cook everything by about 4ish?
Its not massively neccessary that it gets done by then put just trying to plan my day.

we were getting a kilo for £4.95.
it's nearly a price match, and may require less as it's seriously strong rather than just mature...
what do people think? xx It's just a 5p difference to budget, if you don't count the leftover quid's worth against me!
Right at this moment - well yesterday anyway - it was possible to buy Sainsb*rys Organic British Farmhouse Mature Cheddar for £4 summat per kilogramme - by buying a large size packet and then taking the free packet that came with it (2 for the price of 1). I was going to buy just one small packet of the cheese - till I saw that and realised it was a lot cheaper per kilogramme - so decided to do that and put the rest in the freezer (so depends on whether people wish to think "Shirley may not be able to 'speculate to accumulate' like that - or just take the price saving and get better quality cheese - ie the organic).0 -
hiya, will catch up with those questions in just a mo, but first up, Lesley before we chat at 7ish I've sent a new updated spreadsheet, with 2 requests of different maths written on row 74, in red, if you could ping it back with those done before we chat that would be super helpful
If it means we talk a wee bit later that's no probs with me

I will paste this lot into the survey post
With regard to the other recipes....
I am not sure if there are still surveys required for these or not ??
I can crack on and do them, if so... but if they are not required, then I will leave it
What is the thoughts of Weezl on this ??:D
I am going to have a bit of a play about with yeast later, and see what/how the cultures/starters work and sleep.
I will let you know, but if I remember correctly, I think these things do take a few days to know, if you know what I mean.
brill brill brill work on the surveys Potty:beer::beer::T:T:T
yes please on the yeast research will await eagerly:D:D:D
potty let's pause on further surveys til I've been more decisive on planners 2 and 3 cos I'm aware you've done ones I may not be able to incorporate and I'm loathe to waste your timeAnd you can have a week or 2 off-did you get my pm with email for survey sharing?

I very much hope so frankie I'll build it week by week starting at tuesday 6th and then hopefully we'll always be a week ahead of ourselves even if real life makes it tricksome for me to get the whole thing to youIf I get my order to come on wednesday morning 10-12 slot, will I have enough time to batch cook everything by about 4ish?

Hmmmn that could be tricky arty. I'd say prioritise the bread and I'll try to make wednesday's tea really simple. if they come at 10 it's sounding good but 12 might be a bit tight!;)

Shucks
Thanks.... I just hope that the surveys are of some use.
I thought that you may want to pause with them for a bit, hence the question
I didn't get your PM, but put it down to cheese rind brain
Send away, and I will sort it out
Ok, now for the bread/yeast stuff, that I have done so far..
