Weezl, sorry to jump the gun. Is there a day to day planner of breakfasts/lunch/dinners?

For two people, you have two options - halve all the even numbers and go just over half on the odd ones (so you'd buy 1x lemons, 1x oranges and 3x carrots). That way you will have some stocks left over at the end of the month which will make the next month's shopping a bit cheaper. The other option is halve the even ones and go just under on the odd ones then try to get them to stretch, but beware that this tweak might deprive you of some of Weezl's carefully calculated nutrients.

Same principle applies to 6 people - one full list, one half and over or half and under (but here I would be more inclined to go under as it'll be easier to spread the portion sizes around).

I am a bit less certain at this stage what to do myself - I will be feeding two on the plan for 20 days; 1 on the plan for 10 days; and 1 off plan for 30 days, but with as much of the plan incorporated as possible. As my Asda is local, I guess I will go halves-and-over and then try and keep a careful eye on stocks and top up where necessary....

It's nice to see so many Midlanders in one thread :hello:

Some people are never happy, though (points finger at self) - now I finally realised that not all of you are as far away as I first thought, I wish you were more local to me, so I'd have someone to go foraging with :D

Still, if someone fancies a day out to the home town of the new Dr Who once the nature has fully woken up, you know who to call on.....

Allegra I'm going to do what you suggest. Split the evens and go just under on the odds. Thank you.

Quickly working out the option where I split the evens and go just over on the odds, the total comes to £62.89 for two people. Room for refinement, too - if you don't need 30 eggs, perhaps just buy a smaller packet ? Ditto for milk. I left both packets of sugar on the list as that way you get advntage of the offer, but if you want to keep a cap on the cost, just buy one, etc.
