potty Sorry to hear about your heating, my expenses are car related and not making sure a chq had been cashed related...DOH!
I might be doing this Plan for a few months!
I hope it works out Frankie
My heating has just been fixed
So all is well with it.
HM Mayo.... just had a quick google.... but there maybe a more definitive answer... but it looks like because of the egg yolk, that most sites are saying it will only keep for 3 to 4 days
Edit ...crossed post with Jenid:o0 -
So they dilute it with water to make the price per unit weight seem lower.
I hope this is not OT but that is how they make 'low fat' spread. Added water!
For mayonnaise it is possible to use dried egg and it is still available to buy. I will do a quick search as I haven't used it for a while. I have made mayonnaise without egg too as my mum wasn't able to eat egg.

Found one!
3 tbsp soya milk
¼-½ tsp salt
½ tsp mustard powder
300ml light-flavoured olive oil (or grapeseed oil)
1 dssp cider vinegar
I will experiment with semi skimmed milk and see what happens. I am sure I have made mayo without the milk though.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Or Aioli has no egg in it. Just garlic and oil as far as I remember? I love it but might be a bit strong for some peoples taste.
Weezl do we have any spare garlic on the plan to make it with?0 -

I'll be very interested in the results of this PB

Haven't posted for a while, but I am following you all along with great admiration and anticipation. I am not able to follow the plan completely but have already taken bits and incorporated them into my own meal plan. One thing this thread has made me think about and act on is batch cooking. I only have three shelves in my freezer, one contains bread, the second contains my frozen veg, which only leaves me with one shelf. On my monthly meal plan that I have made (since reading this thread) I have two quiches, four pizzas, a chicken pie, two curries and some pasties. I would not be able to store these made up completely so to get round this on my 'batch cooking day' I (using my food processor) made 3 batches of 200g shortcrust pastry, 1 batch of 400g shortcrust pastry, two batches of pizza dough. I store them in individual freezer bags and then get them out the night before so that when I get home it is ready to just roll and fill. With the curry I made double the amount of sauce and freeze half before I add in the veggies.Hope this helps
Another thing I have started doing, thanks to everyone on here, is making the Vegan Brownies that were posted. They were delicious. I froze half the cooked batch. I also made some minus the cocoa and added ground ginger - these were lovely too.Me, DH, DS10 and DS60 -

Thanks Weezl! I will try that recipe then, have to admit after calcium gate way back on this thread I had a bit of shock to find that even after taking my supplements I was about 60% down on my calcium intake. Getting as much dairy down me now as I can but still struggle to hit the target without the worry of turning into an elephant!
Weezl on the using up leftovers front, is there a list anywhere of what's left to play with? I also noticed you'd worried about savoury snacks, I was thinking that with the butternut and cheese if you have some margerine, self raising flour etc I could use then I will experiment to make some mini savoury buns for you. Any use?0 -
