Will have a go at the biscuit things later on. Chick topped Easter nests went down well at work
Manager brought cream eggs so have swiped one to have on Sunday, he he
With the onion tart I used the standard Tesco balsamic, it's about £1 a bottle I think. The scone base was for the balsamic free but could use butter planner! I think it tastes nice but doesn't look as nice due to the colour of the onions being lighter, would definitely need to be eaten with some colourful veg like carrots or peas and probably not with potatoes!
I was thinking of making a batch of scones with the lard, I am determined to make you make some scones Weezl!God is good, all the time

Hmmmm.. hope this doesnt annoy anyone...:o:p
In discussion time at the moment there is a thread discussing the 5 a day. (Not to bring up any controversy;)) just thought id point it out as so many people dont seem to get much fruit and veg and arent bothered about it. So I'm guessing this is like Bob and Shirley THEREFORE this planner is much better than an 'average' diet yay:T:T:T:T:T and we can be proud that it is a very healthy diet relative to a normal persons!!!!!
Just thought it might give us all a little boost :T:T:T:T
Sian-hmmmm yeah you did sound quite young how old are you (ignore this if you want). I thought it was very profound and now I know you went to America in the summer lolXXXXIn art as in love, instinct is enough

HM mayonaise. We used to make this a lot well my OH did and we literally spent months researching oil etc
On the whole it is cheaper to buy it from a supermarket as it lasts longer.
Depending on what you use to make it with the supermarket one can be healthier due to the amount of salt and oil being used.
This is the recipe we used (thanks delia)
http://www.deliaonline.com/how-to-cook/sauces-and-dressings/how-to-make-mayonnaise.html
The above recipe can be adapted as well with other oils and seasoning's. It can be a nightmare to make though as you need to be on the ball.
The leftover whites we used to use for meringues and low-fat omelettes. so frugal if you use the leftover ingredients.0 -
ps did you happen to save the seeds? xxx
Oregano, you mean ? Indeed I did. Want some ?
Yep, I used the amounts as specified, and only used herbs, salt and pepper. If OH was eating it with me, I'd have probably added chilies, but as it was, I didn't feel it lacked anything. I was gonna put some garlic in, actually, but forgotAgain, didn't feel the lack. And yep, half and half ratio of raw and cooked oil was fine - the final texture was lovely and velvety

We had the pasta amatricana yesterdayand another success:T
I was pleasantly surprised buy the few ingredients it used, normally i use lemon juice parmesan cheese etc But no it was lovely and the chilli powder gave it enough without it being overpowering :T

DS2:-10/10
Me 10/10
It was very filling but not enough to feel bloated.
So another one to add to repitoire, thanks agian to you all!
Been thinking about doing this next month with a couple of alterations in regards to oily fish and ready brek. So may have to substitute sardines for tuna etc
Looked on this list to see what i can use.

If the above is no good please let me know as i wouldn't want to mess the study up.0 -
savoury flapjacks a big failure. Taste is fine, but are far too crumbly and completely fall apart. I'm thinking I used too much fat...the original recipe has 50g of butter & 2 eggs but I omitted the eggs and use lard/oil. Hmmmmmmm, maybe someone who knows more about baking chemistry can suggest?
However, all is not lost as I was planning on making chickpea crumble tonight and can use some of the batch as my topping!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Glad you liked the pasta, that's an amazing score :j:j:j:j
The recipe which is super high in omega 3 is the pumpkin seed butter, have you had a lookie at that one, I think it's frugaller (is that a word) than the fish? xxxsavoury flapjacks a big failure.
