yep! We found that it all mulched down fine after blitzing. some folk with stick blenders ended up with some fibrous bits, but you could seive it if that happens to youhornetgirl wrote: »Poohbear I can get you the teabags if you want. PM me your address and I'll send them.

I have been imagining what people look like too. I bet none of you look anything like I imagine, or indeed sound.
So it will be deeply weird talking to people who don't look or sound like they 'should'. But having met people IRL that I have known through business or whatever, the mental picture rapidly changes, and then I can't remember what I thought they were like before IYSWIM
Looking forward to it0 -
Are we all going to wear red carnations or something? lol, might make me sneeze.
ISOM, to what are you referring, I am sure I have no idea?
Making some easter nests tonight to take into work for people, makes me feel like I'm 7 years old again, it's a good feeling

Am not in tonight for dinner otherwise I would have done this, we love squash, it's delicious! Can I recommend that whoever does it makes up the risotto on the stove and roasts the squash in the oven with the skin on, sliced as thinly as you can manage at about 200C with a little oil and salt on? Then put in top of the risotto when cooked? Takes forever otherwise to cook it and the flavour is SO much nicer when roasted and a little caramelised. We have non stick teflon baking liners which are great for things like this so you need less oilGod is good, all the time

Hi, sorry I haven't been about .. real-life is inconvenient and keeps getting in the way! :rotfl: Sounds like you have made a huge amount of progess!
Just a couple of notes to add to PH's post:pinkhayley789 wrote: »It can be easy to over estimate how much your family will eat, especially with foods such as pasta, rice and potatoes. Get into the habit of weighing these out to prevent wastage. Leftover pasta makes a great packed lunch, rice can easily be made into a salad meal for a lunchbox with the addition of chopped salad stuff / a little leftover chopped meat / a little chopped fruit and nuts or can be used to make a biryani or stuffing for another meal. Potatoes can be used to make corned beef hash or bubble and squeak with other left over veg.
Encourage your whole family to check for leftovers lurking in the fridge and to eat these first before reaching for other foods. If you do this.. then make sure you mark any leftovers required for another meal with "do not touch!" - you might find that scrap of chicken which you had planned to use for leftover chicken and veg pie in someone's sandwich....(!)0 -
