I used a small processor/liquidizer for the butter spread. If you find its a bit milky use some water instead that's what manufacturers use in their low fat spreads.0

Now that Weezl is resting is there anything we can be doing in her absence?
Lesley, Arty or Potty are there any recipes that dont have surveys or that need testing you 3 seem the best to ask and we dont want to stop this yet will be more difficult to pick up if we take too long a break.
If you think of anything let me know and i am happy to do what i can.
Weezl if you are reading this finally got pic and he is lovely but get some rest and we will keep trying to help B&S xxxxx0 -
Well-i dont think some of the pasta dishes have been tested that much however they are quite basic (i.e tomato sauce and bacon) so not sure if you amazing cooks need to taste such a thing.
I was also looking at the list of questions Weezl's put up on the first page-I know the equipment has been completed and a few others but maybe we should think about putting together answers for the rest?
The more technical things are more Lesley and Potty's territory so maybe they may need our help in something?

just popping in to say weezl et al all doing well!
Re soup arty what is it that goes wrong? The way I do mine is sweat onions (if using) and herbs and then add stock, main ingredients (ie veg, pots/pasta/pluses/meat etc) and then simmer in large wok before whzzing, check flavor and add extra ? if needed et voila! soup! What is going wrong with yours...perhaps better to work backwards to help you iykwim!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

The easiest way i would do it is
Finely chop and onion and a clove of garlic and fry gently in a pan with some butter and a spoon of oil (stops butter from burning) til soft but not too much colour add about a tblsp tom puree a can of chopped toms and about 1/2 litre of stock (i prefer chicken but obviously veg is the usual) bring to the boil then turn down and simmer gently for about 20mins check for seasoning.
After that if you wish you can blend it to make it smoother or if really fussy then push through a sieve til perfectly smooth (personally life is too short for that)
There are many other ways to do it and you can add herbs or pasta if you want it to be more of a meal and its a good way to use up some of those past their best veggies that always seem to find their way into my house.
Feel free to ask any questions or as ISOM suggests tell us your method and we may find out what is going wrong.
Then when i need help with computer questions i know who to ask eh?
