I know it's sooner that you all planned, but if you want to take advantage of my virgin kitchen and cupboard space, I'm collecting the keys on Wednesday and moving in that weekend so could use a shopping list and meals to cook from the weekend of the 27th/28th.
If not that's fine, but I'm only going to have internets access at the weekends (will be keeping a paper food diary for the challenge in the week) and so will only be able to start the meal plan on a weekend.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

there you go art - a nice easy and low fat version. The celery does (i eventually discovered) make a huge difference to the flavor. I always add chick peas or lentils to my sou as find I get hungry soon otherwise. HTH. Let us know how you get on...oh yes would use tinned toms too!!
Good to see that weezl is making best of Kester time and that they are doing more bonding time and letting people look after them...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
FrankieM - have had a look at the planner for fruit and sugar available
It is showing 160g oranges, 1200g bramleys, 320g lemons and 2820g granulated sugar
would add the caveat that definitive recipes are being added, so this may change

Artybear - are the recipes in your post #2854 the definitive versions do you know?
If they are, we can check that the right list of ingredients are what is entered on the spreadsheet.
We can do the dinners from the list Weezl gave us, but we don't have the list for breakfasts, lunches or snacks as yet. Or at least, I haven't seen it, anyone else got it? Anyone got copies of the meal planners for veggie and vegan?
Edit - aah, searching for the dinner list, I remembered that Weezl said she has already put in most of the dinners. Everything involving the apple needs checking.
And all the mustard quantities need checking
I have added the liver pate as Weezl requested.
I have also put a copy of my own meal planner in the Workspace, lots to do on it yet, but it looks like I can do it, in the way that we like to eat, for £1.50 pppd, which I would be really pleased with0 -
LESLEY
Could I have a link to the bit where you have your mealplanner purlease?:)0 -
Thanks Lesley I'll take a look at the recipes I found and let you know what amounts I would need, then we can decide if it's doable?
I noticed your meal plan. I'm really interested to see the finished result. Thanks for putting it on.

Lesley,
Mealplan looks interesting. I like the sound of sweet potato and lentil soup for 36p. Would you mind sharing recipe?
Thanks
Sandra

It's from Feasts From The Place Below. The 36p includes a sandwich made from HM bread BTW with a sliver of cheese in it
I use a slightly adapted version as the original makes a huge bucket of it, plenty for 6. He also says to use 100ml of olive oil for a velvety finish, but I don't want that many calories, so I only use enough to saute the veg
so for 4, it would be
30ml olive oil
250g onions, roughly chopped
360g sweet potato, peeled if you want to, and chopped
2 cloves garlic or equivalent from a jar
a bit of chilli for warmth, or black pepper
a scant tsp paprika
166g red lentils
1333ml water
a scant tblsp balsamic, cheap one is fine
sweat the onions and sweet potato in a couple of tblsp olive oil until soft, you do seem to be able to taste it, so worth using.
add the garlic, paprika, chilli if using and cook for a couple more mins.
add the lentils and water and simmer for 20 mins. Add balsamic and whizz, season generously with salt and more pepper if you want a little more warmth0
