any of those tests would be fab, I'd also appreciate your thouughts on how we successfully go eggless on the cakey things, and now that planner 3 has some balsamic, I wondered if you'd have a go at that lovely tarte tatin you found?

Do you think we could allow Bob and Shirley £2 or so at the beginning to buy some packets of seed and grow some herbs on the kitchen windowsill? You can often pick up packets of common herbs (basil, parsley corriander etc) quite cheaply and would ensure that she had a plentiful supply. Same goes for pick and come again lettuce - cheap as chips and can be grown on windowsill in kitchen. And if they have a garden - well the world is their oyster! lolMFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. MMM, that sounds good! Caramelised onions are a particular fave of mine.
I have given up cakes and biscuits for lent so I can test them on Sundays or have someone else eat them, lol. Will have a think about recipes when I get in and have a look in the cupboards, was all a little sparse last time I checked.
P.S. I did skim through Ready-Brek gate. Will have a think of other uses for it, does it need to be a pudding?God is good, all the time

I sometimes whizz oats up into smoothies to thicken them a bit. Not sure if we could frugalize a smoothie but this might be a way to use up some Ready Brek?MFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. nope! can be brekkie, lunch, dinner, as long as they actually eat it rather than use it for replacing the wallpaper (well we know all about Bob and the B and Q spend:rotfl:)
snackie stuff has the slight advantage of being more easily included without seriously messing with the meals
an oaty breakfast pancake with raisins made with half SR flour and half ready brek would be a good addition

next time someone makes the onion tart, I wonder if they might try it with some readybrek in place of some flour in the pastry?

Sorry is it me misunderstanding again or was the readybrek for the vegan plan ? I also thought none of the ingredients could be altered now.
Please can we have some links to the current plans, menus and lists. I really am so very lost.0
