Lesley I think the launch of planner 3 will see you very pleased, as by shopping around I think the vegan planner would leave you £15 spare with which you could add in more fresh fruit (and there's already 1 piece daily) and some cheese so the delia tart and chickpea crumble would still be doable IYSWIM? xxx
ooh fab, that sounds good. It is very hard trying to price up a months worth of meals as I constantly scour my extensive cook book collection for interesting things to cook, and then there are the unplannables like the cheapy box bargains (what will they be) and in the summer we get lots of veg from the garden, so it depends what's ready as to what we have.
An interesting exercise tho and I am enjoying it and it's making me rethink things
We have been changing the front garden about and pretty soon I will be ordering cordon fruit trees for there, so I will be looking on Pomona as they have lots of different ones. This garden is very wet and as we have been here 3 years, we are still working out what works and what doesn't. It is also pretty acid, but the rhubarb seems to love it and is bushing up nicely, not that much of it is above ground yet after all the snow etc. Looking forward to more and different apples, got enough pears for the amount of garden we have, more plums, and maybe cherries if I can keep the birds off them0 -

Ceridwen, OT for this thread, but have you tried this one? Can't remember if I have mentioned it before or where I got it from as been doing it in the summer for many years, and lots of friends have stolen the recipe, so it's pretty popular
For the 2 of us, I take 1 med to large avocado, 1 large orange, about a handful of tomatoes and chop so that all are about the same size (about the size of a walnut in it's shell). Then toss in a good splosh of flavourful olive oil and grind in a bit of sea salt and some pepper.
We have it with a matchbox sized piece of brie and some focaccia fresh from the oven with rosemary sprigs on it crunchy with olive oil.
Quick, fresh and delicious0 -
murrell/Lesley, any thoughts on a veganisation of the chickpea crumble?
xxx
The only thing that's a problem as far as I can see is the cheese and possibly the spread/butter.
The crumble topping may work using the oil instead of the spread and could have enough flavour just missing out the cheese. I'll try it and see0 -

Just a few surveys to be going on with....
And their matching results to be pondered over
Weezl, if you could copy these to Post 4 please, or post a link there to here if its easier
Also, if someone who is not too busy, could have a wee check of the links for me, to make sure everything works ok, and see if something doesn't look right......
I cant notice anything wrong anymore
Thanks
