we'll protect you! Erm, since the original poll I haven't been able to keep the 7 of the 5 a day, so maybe we could just say 5 is already included?

    Will it let you edit?

Sorry I forgot to say that!:o:D

I'm gobsmacked! I think people haven't read it properly. They'd live off porridge and baked beans forever and get all of their family to, and have powdered milk in tea forever just to not eat a battery egg.

    I'm absolutely flabbergasted!

I am surprised as people are mentioning animal welfare when they are voting for the freerange eggs (which I agree with completely) but not buying the best possible meat.

I would have thought buying happy meat would be the obvious choice if animal welfare is that important to you.

    Very strangexxxxxxxxxx

  • Blame Jamie and that programme about battery hens, it was pretty shocking. Admittedly he didn't create the problem and if free-r range hens became more of a staple thing then the cost would go down substantially. I think the poll won't make it entirely clear that this will be at the expense of other things like milk in tea. :)
