IOIWE thanks! that's fab tastic! Gosh the cauli cheese is a bit low-calorie isn't it? Must make sure the rest of that meal/day gives them enough energy.
And even with high oil and sugar the carrot cake is only 190 cals per square.... Hopes Bob and shirley aren't going to go all skinny on us

Websites
Just tried that second website linkie Weezl.
Errrmm....quickly came to conclusion it wasnt one I would use either.
I just keep wanting a site where I can just type straight in, eg:
- 3 tsps honey
- 350 ml oil
etc
I resigned myself to a more longwinded process of:
- type the ingredient in the top banner and then wait for it to come up with a list of alternatives
- "yep - it does have honey" - so I clicked "honey" and then thought "I cant see how to enter the quantity I want". It automatically came up with "cup" measurements, so I clicked the right-hand side for alternative measurements and thought "hmm...tablespoon measurement..but not teaspoon measurement". Decided to do a quick guesstimate of how many grams a teaspoon of honey is. I havent got the faintest idea just how many grams there actually is in a teaspoon of honey - but decided to put in 5 grams for the sake of a trial. It kept on telling me that I had put in "100 grams" and I cant see any way to get it to accept a measurement smaller than 100 grams on the grams front.
Gave up at that point.
I get your drift Weezl - and we need a site that is user-friendly and will be both readily understandable AND will accept us inputting ingredients in whatever way we measure them (and at the quantities we use). Its a complication too far to expect us to translate so many teaspoons worth into grams anyway - and for the website to then refuse to accept the exact number of grams we have wildly guessed at...
Errrm....back to the drawing board.
I'll try that first linkie out for you when I have a website name from you for it and see if thats any better.0 -

Been into that one and registered as well.
Went in for a bit more of the longwinded process that I presume is the norm for every site like this - of first put in the ingredient, then search for it, then do the measurement.
Came up against the same barrier - ie when I went to put in "serving size" I again found the options inadequate and had the choice between:
100 grams
1 oz
1 cup
1 Tbp
1 packet
when I was trying to put in my 3 teaspoons worth of honey.
There's gotta be a British site out there somehows to do the job hasnt there?
Thinks...with Britain being a much smaller country than America - we are going to have a lot fewer websites anyway to choose from for anything. But the cultural differences are too large for an American one to "translate over" for us methinks.
Of course - we do have the rest of Europe to choose from here and methinks there will be fewer cultural differences there:).
So - if there is summat available from another European country or one of the Scandinavian countries (complete with English translation of course) then that would be more apt to us.
...goes off pondering as to which are the most health-oriented of these countries to start looking for one....
Germany is the first that comes to mind - I imagine the Germans might well have such a website. The question is whether its got an English version we could use.
Holland possibly?
One of the Scandinavian countries maybe? Wonder what the Swedish have got for instance?
Thinks to self - Australia? Same language - thinks: "wonder what sort of measurements are used in Australian recipes?". Thats a large-ish country.

Don't worry C, it's very kind but it's too much work for you. We must all play to our strengths in this little gang, and you give very generously here of all you're great at. I guess I just wanted a feel for how computer savvy they need us to be, and from your answer I'd say 'very' and leave it at that.
