    ok working thro, question above!

edit - haven't put methods for most but i can go back and edit them :)
don't worry about methods, we have them saved here (or we will have :))

Just a minor tweak, the green beans are a babyfood jar in the recipe you've entered, I think you have to search just the veggie section to weed out all these processed foods the recipcal database throws at you. Sorry to be picky but it's quite a lot more calorific than the beans alone, so it might skew Bob and Shirley's nutrition profile :)

ceridwen finds recipecal site very unweildy (as do others!) there are linkies to two others above. Maybe try just one and see if you can get your head round it?

    How about:
    firefox's frugal fishcakes

I don't want the lovely IOIWE to have to do all of them :)

revisiting the healthy parameters of post #3:

    define healthy?

7 of the NHS 5 a day (think we are just below this now, but need to do more maths.)
sufficient fibre (anyone fancy doing some research on RDA fibre and having a look at an example day?)
avoidance where possible of harmful transfats (feel we have managed to avoid these altogether with the possible exception of the asda smart price stuffing mix)
enough protein and carbohydrate to sustain health and maintain weight (Carbs, checked and fine-may need more biscuits for the boys, less for the girls, Protein- needs analysis but suspect good as there are lots of pulses and some meat, cheese, egg and teeny bit of milk daily. Also nut butter)
enough vitamins and minerals for health
(Assuming this is coming from the 5 a day, but not sure if that's true of the 5 a day research...needs researching....)

Some of this looks like it's got my name on it! :p

It occurs to me that it would be quicker to analyse the shopping list to get a rough check and then look at the spread over the course of a week. How do you feel about that? I think the protein is likely to be fine too, fibre I can look at now plus vitamins and minerals.
