I think you mentioned spread for breakfast but can't see any:D I haven't noticed anything else.
Perhaps Weezl meant apple curds and marmalade as "spread", rather than marge ? :undecided0 -
Hey, I'm in the Midlands too
Well, right on the east edge thereof, but still can't be all that far... I was under the impression almost everyone here is in Wales !
Weezl, course we can do hand-holding regardless. It'll be fun
I'm not from Wales
I lived, for quite a few years in and around London and overseas, when I was younger.
But I moved back home, quite a few years ago, to Scotland :T
I was wondering if we could get shirl to keep a wee bit of the previous batch dough to add as the starter for the new batch IYSWIM, to save cash on yeast?
Does anyone have experience of doing this?:)
Now.....
I dont have any ACTUAL experience of yeast cultures...
Although I have read a bit about it, through wine making
And it is something, that I have been meaning to try for sometime
(I even have a wee bottle saved for such a purpose)
I am not sure if it would be the same for bread making.....
But I could read a wee bit more on it, and give it a try, if you wish

hi testers the list seems to have caused some head scratching there but looks like you're coming up with some good solutions there, thanks

I hope the leftovers you have will be useful. I think if the recipes are a success it shouldn't be too hard, ie if people like the risi e bisi or pea and apple soup, then having a few too many marrowfats shouldn't be a problem cos you'll have them again? that was what I was hoping anyway!
A coupla important points if shopping for this online: Bags of SP oranges and SP lemons are very hit and miss, one bag of lemons had 3 in which made them the priciest of all the lemons  as there's not much in it, and to avoid this, I'd say pick the loose ones or go locally to your greengrocer or market for just those things...

gosh that's quite a bit overQuickly working out the option where I split the evens and go just over on the odds, the total comes to £62.89 for two people. Room for refinement, too - if you don't need 30 eggs, perhaps just buy a smaller packet ? Ditto for milk. I left both packets of sugar on the list as that way you get advntage of the offer, but if you want to keep a cap on the cost, just buy one, etc.

Hi Weezl
am back from Pilates. Have had a delivery of a gooseberry bush and 8 day lilies while I was out. As I need to get these in sharpish, are you avail for spreadsheetery after 7 this eve? Today is the only day forecast for no rain for several days

Weezl, sorry to jump the gun. Is there a day to day planner of breakfasts/lunch/dinners?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
nearly!
Erm would definitely rather not publish til someone with a brain has had a chance to check shopping list and current spreadsheet. (just for fear of ballsing it up for you all:o)
I think it's more confusing to post rough drafts even though they wet the appetite! Is Monday a good batch cooking day for people? Or were some of you hoping to do it sooner? There'll be a few things that'll definitely be going ahead ie bread baking and applecurd, so I can make sure you're all set up with that for those itching to make a start?
