It would be so much easier if she liked pink or anything remotely girly, she's a bit of an emo really, (a goth, for anyone over the age of 30 - the first time I heard some one saying emo I thought they'd said Nemo, as in Finding Nemo, I had to have it explained to me) although truth be told I quite like it, much to her disgust! Ex-spend, why do you need a bill? I've to bring copy of birth certificate and a form with her medical number etc with me on the 24th but thats really it, I hope. Can't seem to find a new copy of the Atlas they want online, usually i wouldn't give a fig if it was second hand, goodness knows I've spent many a pound on Ebay but I doubt she'd be happy with a previously used one!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
Debt free date April 2016!!!!:eek:0 -
It was part of the "duty to verify". You needed 2 documents proving where the child is resident. They suggested - bank statements, utility bill, TV licence, letter awarding child benefit and child's medical card. I took a medical card and TV licence (which just happened to arrive last week or I'd have been stuck). Not always so simple in these days of ebilling. Oh and we had to take the birth cert too.
I've never heard of an Emo.:rotfl:

Well we had a lovely day today. Went to Gordon's and purchased BHS uniform. It came to £317 in total including all PE gear and bag. I had to fight back the tears when he had it all on. It really is a lovely uniform.:)0

Thats you all organised then Kingston, brilliant.
It will be good for you knowing that everything is in and you'll not be rushing about at the end of August trying to get stuff. Are you sure the tears weren't at the horrendous amount of money you had to part with. :rotfl:

:rotfl:well yes, the money was definately part of it too. Luckily though I think that the PE gear will do him 2 years. He's not a big boy and the smallest size PE shirt was big on him. Bless him!!!It feels great to be organised for a change, its really unlike me0 -
Nothing lasts long in this house. They either grow out of it, lose it or the demon tumble dryer shrinks it. My son is 5 foot 2 already. :eek:0

Neveranymoney, just thought I'd let you know we were able to order the atlas on amazon new. Its not the easiest to find as the first ones when you search come up as used but there is one seller 'Julies Bookshop' if you keep going down that you can get it new from. I think its either the 8th or 9th edition but is def the one they recommend. I think it was around £5 and just under £3 to post. Hope that helps. By the way, when we were in getting uniform today for son my 7 year old daughter wanted to try on one of the girls blazers. You lucky thing to have a daughter going to BHS the girls blazers are gorgeous!!!0 -
  You have a 7 year old daughter too. See you back her for Transfer 2013. :rotfl: :rotfl: I wonder what the system will be by then? :eek:0

Didn't realise your daughter was seven exspend. Shall we keep this thread going until then? :rotfl:Most people I know don't have as much as a 4 year gap between their children. Nice to know I'm not the only one. Do your two get on? Wish I could say mine did! It will be interesting to see if academic selection will be in place in 4 years time. Our daughter would be much more academic than her brother was at her age but then that can change as they progress. I would hate for them to go to different schools but I guess thats a challenge a lot of people have to deal with.0
