No need to transfer anymore, the only good thing ur woman whose name I refuse to mention did this year was to allow Dromore High to do A levels, they had so many children going on to do A levels in other schools it made sense for them to stay on there to do it. So summer 2012 will be the first they sit the exams!

    We Got 1st Choice - Grosvenor :j :j :j

Well the adventures of the Ex-Spendaholic continue. Having woken from my dream (at 7.15) of arguing with Academy St about a bus pass for Methody Went to Prince Regent Road and it hadn't opened. Jumped out of the car and 2 ladies were getting back into their's to wait. I instantly jumped to the conclusion it was Belfast Mum and Stressed Mum.

So I waited at the gate and annoyed a few people who probably wished I'd shut up.

Went in and my mail was already sitting. I've the postie well trained. :rotfl:

I instantly seen the "Grosvenor" frank and the weight of the world was lifted from my shoulders. :j :j :j :j

So was making my escape when the 2 ladies appeared and muttered are you Ex-Spendaholic? Yes it was indeed no other than Belfast Mum and Stressed Mum. :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl: It was great to meet you both and I hope your letters were from the right school.

Came home and let son open the letters. We are all delighted. :j

Stanjnr, Dromore High is a brilliant school. Saying that I still did believe you would scrape into one of the grammars. Hopefully more information will unfold today.

    Good luck everyone.
  • :j:j:j We got our 1st choice Methody :D:D:D:D:D

Had to wait about 15mins in sorting office as our district hadn't come up yet. Great to meet you Ex-spendaholic and delighted for your son.

Hope everyone else gets the result they need.

Ex-spendaholic great news, really pleased for you. We didn't get any welcome pack from the school so couldn't tell what school we had until the envelope was opened. I know Dromore is a really good school but I had a glimmer of hope that we might have scraped into a grammar school
    as well!

YAY for you!!!! Post hasn't arrived yet - just so I get a bit of an idea if my daughhter will get in - do you mind me asking what score that was?:o
  • It was 106 :)
  • hi everyone, congrATulations to all! im still waitng on my post, not expected until abou 11. but your entries have given me hope!!
  • Yippeeeeeeeeee, we got Methody too! So, so relieved. Daughter got 106, and her friend who got 104 also got in. I only gave her the Education Board letter as i had already seen the Methody frank on the other one, so there was great suspense. God love her, she burst into tears as soon as she read Methodist College!

Ex-Spendaholic it was lovely to meet you, and many congtratulations.

Good luck to everyone else waiting for their letters, I have everything crossed that you get good news today too.
