Good luck to all. Thank you for the company over the past few months.
I hope our children regardless of tomorrow's outcome, achieve happiness & contentment.

Hi everyone, haven't posted for a while but have been enjoying reading all posts over last few days. Am quite hopeful now reading some posts. Good Luck everyone- such a stressful year!!!!!
Thank you AKA3- I love that quote.0 -
Thrilledtobits, that is brilliant news for you. Your friend's child will have got in too. :T :T :T I nearly wish I'd applied to Bangor Grammar just so that we could have had a letter today. :rotfl:
Welcome to the other Co Down Mum. There was talk of Lisburn schools at one stage but those people don't seem to have been on for a while.
Right I have floors to clean, washing to put on and a downstairs toilet needing a clean. Should I do them now or sit on here all night? :rotfl: Actually I maybe should give them a quick once over as its unlikely they will be done at any other stage during the weekend.0 -
Hi all
Thought I would join the party!
I'm also a lurker. I've been a lurker since 6th February and I thought I should share that with the group.
After all this I think I'll also be attending AA. Half-way down the first bottle of wine.
I have enjoyed all your posts and share your pain/stress/madness.
Hopefully my ds will be going to Friends or Wallace. He got 111. Summer birthday.
Like the rest of you, on opening the letter our faces fell as it wasn't in the top quintile. He scored in the 80's or 90's in practice tests.
I saw before my ds as he removed the letter so made sure I had a big smile when he was looking at the result. He looked up and said "I didn't get it", as he had just looked at the quintiles. I tried to reassure him that he had done well and I knew he had done his best but when he asked me if he would be able to get into his school of choice I had to say I didn't know and he was gutted. Since then we have realised it is good score. His result probably is equivalent to an old "A" grade so the moment of joy and celebration was stolen from us. Depsite reassurance from the primary principal, we waver between optimism and hopelessness!
I do not blame AQE or the schools for this. I think the blame lies fair and square at Cat Ruane's door. We would not have been in this position if she had not ballsed up the whole process.
The lack of statistics is irritating as hell though. Especially as I have another one going through it soon! Again a Summer birthday.
I hope that we will be celebrating tomorrow!! I hope that the children will all be happy come September, whether they get their choice or not. With obsessed parents such as us, they will do well whatever happens- we'll see to that!

Cleaning on a night like tonight is for parents of anyone but P7 kids....have a drink instead.
Daughter just came in with the biggest bar of galaxy I have ever seen and is tucking in to it - I can say nothing as I am on the third glass of wine!
Well done to all those into Bangor Gmr - yay!!
To those new mums and dads - hello!
To those from Lisburn - we toyed with Wallace and Friends - but went with Methody and didn't put them down, intakes are so similar between them.
Anyway...look forward to catching up with the antics on here tonight and hope that all I see tomorrow are the names of receiving schools followed by :j:T:rotfl::beer:0 -

BGS used a pool so its possible that a lower score could get in ahead of a higher score although 108 should be more than enough0 -
Welcome madmunni + co down mum!
AKA3 luved the quote, very apt!!
Went out and purchased 1 tie today, so hopefully will get 1st choice. (112) My dd is so laid back she is clearing off with her dad first thing tomorrow morning. (he's going to work!) She has told me to kept the letter until she gets back!! Knowing my luck the envelope will have a stamp suck on it!!0
