I'm thinking I may stay in now and watch the rugby at home as I'm feeling a bit sick and exhausted
not a hangover but I think I've just hit a wall now after being on the go since basically October!!

Hi peeps
bit late on here today and i`ve just finished catching up with yesterdays thread too, i couldn`t get back online last night as there were network problems at w*rk and then this morning the netbook wouldn`t connect to the wireless network  the wireless light wasn`t lit on the O2 wireless box so i`ve managed to get the ancient desktop booted (40 minutes) and connect via ethernet to log into the router and fiddle about with the settings. The light is on now but netty still says no! I`ve not got time to investigate further for a few days so if i`m MIA you all know why.
NicLou - How is your golden oldie? hope that he`s improved, give him a cuddle from me.
Its taken so long to get online that i`ve only time to check my mail and then leave for work so i`ll love you and leave you all.
Have a super Saturday peeps. I`ll check back later network permitting.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Enjoy your party N9eav

Have a safe journey mioliere
Hope you haven't got lost sandy
Didn't have a great night last night, so feeling quite tired today. Managed to get a fair bit sorted as it's DD's birthday next week - she will be 13 :eek: She's having a party and I have booked a limo as a surprise from myself and grandparents
I can't believe my baby is growing up. It only seems like yesterday
DDs have friends coming over this afternoon, so it's another easy day. I need to get some stuff done in the kitchen but depends if I have the energy for it.
Hope everyone has a great day. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
I'm with BE and they are fantastic. I've had quite a few suppliers over the years and none of them have come close to BE, I've never had a dropped connection, speeds are constant, they're pretty cheap and their customer service is great.Bitsy_Beans wrote: »Morning.
 Its taken me the best part of 40 mins to actually get onto this site (or anything else for that matter). Anyone recommend a decent broadband supplier as I am sick of AOL not working .

Morning all.
Martyn was transferrred onto a normal ward last night! :j It seems almost surreal to think that this time last week he was on life support in intensive care and we were expecting the worst. He's told the nurse he came back to torment me!
He's doing great, still a little teary sometimes but that's understandable and I think probably to do with the drugs he's on because I've noticed he also slurs his words sometimes and that can happen with a certain type of painkiller they give him. I'll have a word with the nurse when I visit this afternoon to find out what medication he's on.
OS wise not much has been done but I must find DD's school uniform as she'll probably go back to school on Monday, I think it's been in a crumpled heap in a washing basket for a week.
I'll also do any washing DS has because I think he's going back down to London tomorrow.
His work have been really good but he should really go back now Martyn is on the mend. I've told him to see if he can have a day or two off when he gets down there just to relax and get back to normality.
Have a good day and hugs to anyone who wants or needs one. xxDum Spiro Spero0 -

Afternoon everyone

Gosh, I haven't been on here for a while, busy blogging. Hope all's well with everybody.
It's ds2's 13th birthday tomorrow. He's having a buddy round and we're going bowling in the morning and then home for a buffet lunch.
I'm doing;
Sesame prawn toasts (grilled on baguette halves)
Marinated chicken chunks
Sausages
Nachos with guacamole
Layered salad (peas, grated carrot, sweetcorn, onions, munchy seeds, cheese, bacon bits)
Soy roasted cashews
tortilla chips
White chocolate, apricot and pecan krispie bars
Lemon buttercream birthday cake
Little bowls of Smarties
and Coke! we never have Coke
I'm quite looking forward to that little lot. I've made the cake and krispies.
We're just about to have bacon and cheese baguettes and salad for lunch. I've got some bolognese sauce defrosting for tea. I want something quick and easy to get ready during half-time. I'm really looking forward to watching England beat Wales
I'm also looking forward to having a good read of my new book The Ministry of Food by Jane F-W (Hugh's mum). So far I love it. Beautifully styled and full of fab reproductions of wartime posters. Lots of info on rationing plus growing and cooking info for today. The recipes seem to be 'improved' versions of wartime fare -more flavour and no ersatz ingredients. Lots of cheap cuts of meat, meatless meals and plenty of home produced fruit and veg. There are seasonal menu plans at the back of the book which I really like the look of.0 -

Firstly great news Anguk:D
Thanks to all who sent good wishes for my little dog. Unfortunately she got very much worse overnight and the decision was really made for us. We spent all night up with her last night and then a lovely caring lady vet came to the house this morning and put her to sleep. It was very peaceful in the end but I can't stop crying now. Steve has just buried her in the back garden in the spot that she always used to lie when it was sunny.
Will catch up with thread later.

Nic, so sorry to hear that but nice that it was so peaceful and you have found a lovely spot for her (((hugs)))
Anguk - glad that OH is going from strentgh to strength.
Have just picked up my new laptop, working my way round Windows 7 at the moment. Have loads to download and sort but think I will make myself a mocha coffee and sit down on the settee for a while - have a headache so need that to pass.
OH is doing something outside and DS watching football so quite peaceful at the moment.0 -
