    Hi Guys,
We use o2 and it seems very reliable.

Well a slow start to the day. I need to get moving though but am very unbalanced this morning. I think it was the bump to my head

I have lots to do and catch up with. The WM is whirring away with school stuff. DD has a hair appointment to have her hair coloured and cut. I have to get some food shopping done whilst she is at hair dressers but kids dad is coming with me so I should be fine.

well have a good day x

I had a lovely meal with my friends last night. We went to La Tasca so used the 50% off voucher so food only came to £8 each :) they have put their drink prices up by a bit though to compensate for the voucher usage. House white used to be £11.50 a bottle, it was £14 last night!! I only stayed out til half 11 then got the train home. It was really quiet in the town last night, but it should be packed today!

Today I'm off to the pub to watch the 6 Nations - England V Wales, and possibly the Irish match too :D It should be a really good atmosphere. I'm getting the train in again. It's only £4.30 return, I can walk to the station in 15mins and either walk or get taxi for £3 on way back, so quite good.

I really need to sort stuff out in the flat. I haven't really been home other than to sleep since Tuesday! So there are lots of things to tidy up, sort out, put away etc. I think I'll leave most of it til tomorrow but will make a start on it today.

It's a beautifully sunny morning, so hopefully it will stay that way.

    Have a good day all

DD at dancing this morning then off with dh to buy ds1 a keyboard:eek: and ds2 a scooter. Hope my brain behaves itself.

Plan to clean under the sofas today while dh is here to move them so if I don't post again I have been eaten by something horrible that is living under there

DH is cooking a mexican (the food not a mexican person;)) tonight so he will use every pot we own:rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day

    Morning All

Hope you are having a good journey Mioliere

    N9eav - have a great party

Taplady - sorry to hear about your Aunt, (((hugs))) to you and anyone else who needs one.

Been up for a while, first load of washing is in the machine and have been down the shops for some milk and other essentials. Treated DS & his mate who stayed over to Cherry Danish.

Today will be a pottering day, hoping to pick up my laptop this morning. Will do the ironing as it drys, bit of housework which will definately include washing the kitchen floor as it is so wet here and have footprints all over it.

Work meeting went very strangely yesterday, client spent some time explaining the new payment system to us, all us contractors said we couldn't do it as we would lose too much money so client turned round and decided they would keep it the same for the time being. It seemed that they hadn't done their calculations beforehand. So not reduction at the moment but we will see.

No idea what is for dinner at the moment, maybe grilled pork chops or chicken. Must do a menu plan for next week, have really missed not having one this weel.

Having a surf now while I finish my coffee, have a good one.x

    Good morning guys,

Very foggy and -1 this morning, brrrrrrr!

It's a very quiet morning so far here (I'm sure that wont last) and I am enjoying a little laze and a couple of coffees. WM and TD are on with yesterdays uniforms and towels to make room for the bedding.

I had a prolific list making day yesterday and there is a lot that needs doing here and so I have everything in a priority order now. The first is going to have to be a boiler as getting hot water out ours is a nightmare - it just cuts out with a flashing red light - and it is rather noisy. It's over 10 years old and I suspect that in the long run it may be wiser just to replace it. Anyway I need an engineer out and see what's what with that one.

It's also coming up to giving the entire house a spring clean and this year I am going to be ruthless and minimalise the whole house. We have way to many odds and ends (our last house was much bigger) and ebay as much as possible to raise funds for some of the projects that need doing. There are boxes of stuff in the attic and I am going to pull the lot out and get it sorted. Eric has a slate chess set up there and I want to find it to give to his brother along with some other odds and ends.

Lunch today will be egg/beans on toast and tonight a chilli.

Anguk - I hope Martyn is continuing to do well. xx

N9eav - enjoy your party. xx

Taplady - Sorry to hear about your Aunt. Hugs to you and yours. xx

Hugs to anyone who needs one today and I hope you have a great Saturday.

    Smoky. xxx

smokybabe I daren't make a list at the moment. It would have to be done on a till roll I think LOL!

Morning all, Here much earlier today. Got up to take a drum that dh had repaired to youth orchestra, but dh was ready to go out early, so he has taken it. So now I'm up and dressed. Have my makeup on but no hair, so having an early go at the pooter with my cuppa.

I have lots and lots of jobs to do, as the past week has been full time sewing and being with dd while she was at home for a few days. A certain amount of catching up to do!

CBA with work problems so will try and stop worrrying about that till I have to go in on Wednesday morning.

MIL has offered help with ironing, so I shall accept, my hurty arms mean I can only do a couple of things at a time. They are better than they were, but not right yet.

    Frosty and bright here today.

OS.. lots of housework and homely things to do, foodwise I have the rest of a roast chook, so will try and do some 'interesting' veg or something to go with it. DH lives with my parents Mon-Thurs/Mon-Fri alternate weeks as he is working away from home. Fare tends to be very plain there, except the night he takes them out for a meal.

I have chicken bones for a pot of stock. I've learned to take the meat off the bone, bar the drumsticks, that way they can go in the pot and not be chewed by someone. I wouldn't mind, but they don't even chew them properly! So I might make some soup for lunch.

I can't think of anything else right now. Have a good day all.

  • Good Morning everyone ,just having a quick break from my essay writing (brain feels like its going to mush and needed hot coffee and chocolate cake to get it up and running again):D. All the washing is dried, so I shall attack the iron mountain tonight (I know how to enjoy myself on a Saturday night don't I);) But I don't really mind as I can watch some catch-up t.v. at the same time.
My little computer room is coming along fine and my pal June is coming on Wednesday to finish off the top coat of emulsion for me .then I will treat her to a slap-up lunch. She is off to Dubai for a short holiday soon with her husband so I won't see her for a couple of weeks. She went to the hospital and they still think that she had this temporal arteritis and have been giving her steroids as treatment and they seem to keep her symtoms at bay,but I think she is worried about it.Although her doctor says she is o.k. to travel she is taking out extra insurance.
I must get this essay done today then it will be out of the way, I keep adding to it then I have to go back and edit it all again.I shall email it to my eldest DD as she is very good at checking it over for me.
Weather here is mild, but no sunshine as yet ,but no rain either which is good. I got my new lyphodema sleeves on yesterday and my therapist gave me an 'easy-glide' thing to help get them on with.It feels strange to be wearing it again after so long but these ones have been made to measure so fit better than the one the hospital gave me.
I am off to the Cotswolds in April for a weeks holiday, so hopefully the weather will be a bit brighter then. Hope everyone has a great Saturday and gets done all they want, hope Martyn is progressing well anguk
Hope you enjoy your boat trip over Moliere We did the St Malo to Portsmouth journey once years ago, and it was good but I did get a bit bored as its quite a long trip , but not too bad if you have a good book to read.
Have a good day folks, and take care

Hola! Buenas DiasWell I have to admit I didn't think this kitchen facelift would disrupt me as much as it has, maybe because the kitchens out here are called "American Kitchens" which are just a alcove a the back of the lounge, the whole of the downstairs has been in disarray, and next week we will undertake a massive thorough clean up, daily clean ups done but dust here multiplies as you blink, so hoover and steam mop will be deployed when finished. Currently we have to paint the cornice? (the bit which goes under the wall units to hide the lights, new is very expensive so will paint the original white, play with the hinges for two wall corner units, as the ones we haven't got them adjusted for the gap yet, think we have to move the hing mounting in the cupboard. Luckily yesterday we found a place which did the exact same marble as our existing worktops, which is a real bonus, and not bad prices either, one piece ordered for Monday evening and we need to measure and draw out the other piece, which is much cheaper than getting normal wood worktop of a extra width.

WM on with bedding and lights, may get another two loads done as we have a very good day today.

Bitsy - Have a look here
Plusnet and O2 seem to be coming out the best. Wouldn't touch AOL with a bargepole as they mess up your PC. Then again, I am with Talk-Talk and had no problems.

Moiliere - Safe journey and enjoy the family.

Churchmouse - Belated hbday.gif I woke up early yesterday, and the nodded back to sleep, DH left me until 9, and I think I was half asleep all day.

HSflowers.gif to those not very well, or family members/pet not good.

 to those not mentioned and :hello: to all newbies

Off for a walk now, washing hung out.

    Take care
