    I've been Money Tipped!
    This is flippin' mad.

They were £1 odd the other week, went to 9p last week and are now 29p again!

Think I will stick with the Sainsburys 12p.
  • No longer 9p? 29p would still be reasonable, although a great % increase, but £1.29? Madness.
  • They're 29p in my local store now.

    *STOP PRESS*

They are 16p in SAINSBURY'S now!!!!! Scandalous! Hope they put them up to £1.29 to stop me buying them!

oh my god!! Me and my friend love these at work. We think the Sainsbury ones taste better than the TESCO. What a sudden price hike though! Very bad! They are obviously very popular, but then what can you get for 9p these days? A penny sweet? So guess they were dirt cheap.

Would love to hear them justify such a huge jump in price.

Is there anyway we could email TESCO and ask them why? I will if I know how, really annoys me stuff like this!

Just got back from Tescos and bought 5 packets of the shortbread... back down to 9p....
  • I havent been in for the last week or so, but i visited the Hanley branch today (in Stoke) and they had loads of them at 9p same as ever. I stocked up while i could just in case.

I did however get stung in the bigger Longton branch a week or so earlier when i tried to buy some - they were there at the 1.29 that everyone else has seen (i left them there obviously). Apparently they knew about the issue long before i got there and had already contacted Head Office and queried it.

The schoolkids used to pop in for them in the mornings on their way to school and moaned quite vocally, ahem.
