Would love to hear them justify such a huge jump in price.

be careful everyone - gone from 9p a packet to £1.29 a packet in my tescos !!!

Not in mine, I just purchased 3x packets @ 9p/each.

I have to say, I do really like the range of Tesco Value biscuits. The milk chocolate digestives are every bit as good as the branded ones, and the ginger nuts, chocolate bourbons and chocolate chip cookies aren't far behind their branded cousins - but a fraction of the price.
Self confessed nerd when it comes to anything financial and/or numerical!
  • How cheeky! I bought some for the first time the other day for 9p, more to see if it was any good for 9p but i'm not paying £1.29 for them!

Same here. I just purchase 18 x packets as I noticed that they had devoted a huge amount of shelf space to a display of them (3 shelves!) and they don't do that for a lose leader normally. Thought a price rise was coming so I bought up!

They will probably be down to the normal price in a few weeks, such a price increase would suggest they have a glut of the branded versions that they have to shift so have increased the cheapest price so people but the other cheaper ones.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Blimey, £1.29 in ours too. :(

I don't buy the Tesco ones as I love the Sainsbury ones which are still showing at 12p, think I will go and buy some tomorrow in case they bring theirs inline with the Tesco ones.
