Gee i am so wee'd off, and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with paypal or ebay..
I listed a Item on ebay, when I sent it to the buyer it working in perfect condidition, he then made out it was not as discribed and said it was broken. which I know dam right was a lie, he had even bought the same kind of item cheaper on ebay so it was obious to me what he was up to. Dispute went off to paypay and they said I have to have the Item back, so this item is on its way back to me now broken,
Paypal dont want to know.. they dont seam to care about me and now my property thats been damaged.

This is the thing that worries me about eBay. They have all sorts of protection from buyers, but nothing for sellers.0

Yes, ebay always protects buyers. Never give anyting to sellers. I do not like it.living is the most important0

Im gutted to be honest.. Ebay used to be a good place to sell.. but too many dishonest people about now
:A£6478 of Debt  - Now £3879.920 -
I'm afraid to say, paypal dont seem to be interested in helping sellers!
I had the same thing, sold some designer face cream sealed etc, the lady liked it and asked to have more, then carried out item not as described. i've let it go to debt collection as I am not going to refund as I see she was seeling the cream on her ebay and had other ids and tried to buy more cream from me!!!
So you either have the option to refund or not to refund!
such a shame after the fees etc we have to pay, only to reward scammers.....sorry waffling on!
Good luck K0 -
I feel sorry for everybody. We all know that eBay is only a venue and most of the time, they don't really care what's going on with the transaction between the sellers and the buyers. They always favor the buyers because they are worried that without the buyers, no one will go to the site to purchase anything. When in fact, they earn from seller's fees right?
Anyway, what we can do to protect ourselves from these scammers is to provide proof. Take a picture of the item you're selling. Clear pictures that they are in good condition and not broken. That way, you can show that to PayPal as proof that it is indeed in excellent condition. We should always be aware that there are so many scammers out there, not only in eBay. So we have to be careful in everything we do.Mr. Mulla0 -
What's also annoying is people that try to blackmail you into giving them a refund by holding feedback over your head, especially now we can't leave negative for buyers (I understand the reasons behind stopping it, but it makes it really hard for sellers to warn each other of seriously dodgy buyers, like the one the OP has encountered).
I listed a skirt in perfect condition a few weeks back, very clearly describing the precise measurements in inches. I got an email from the buyer about a week later, basically saying that she didn't like the way the item looked on her & was therefore disappointed with it. Apparently, she thought I'd 'just like to know, before she left feedback'.
Like most, I've bought items of clothing on eBay that haven't really suited me when I've tried them on, but I've never considered it to be the seller's problem. I just re-list the item & get on with my life.
I'll happily give buyers refunds if there is a fault with an item that I've missed, or if my description is wrong, but stuff like this takes the biscuit.  :mad:Life is a waste of time.
Time is a waste of life.
Get wasted all the time,
And you'll have the time of your life!

But the seller pays the fees from the money he/she gets from the buyers.
All the money ebay and the sellers make comes from the buyers. Without buyers nobody will make any money, so it makes good business sense to protect them. If a buyer has a bad experience they may never buy on ebay again. But if a seller has a bad experience they probably will continue to sell on ebay.0 -
kelby - i would have rung paypal and ebay and spoke to a real person and explained what the woman was doing (selling your stuff on etc) and you might have had a better chance0
