Personnaly, if I sell anything with a serial number (or imei number for moniles), I photograph it. If the buyer then tries an 'item broken, can I have a refund', I ask them to return said item and I will refund them the cost of the item plus their return postage costs. If the item doesn't match the one I sent-out, I contact both paypal and the Police, because as far as I know, fraud is still a crime.Never Knowingly Understood.

Goodness you get cross when the rules don't seem to agree with your view of things.
No, I get cross when someone says something that is clearly wrong.
You said "Whilst ebooks may be allowed on other auction sites they are not actually allowed to be sold on ebay"
This is not true, they are allowed to be sold on ebay. They are not allowed to be delivered digitally.
I expect anyone who is going to make a statement about a rule, then quote the rule, to make sure his/her statement is actually true.0 -

Then paypal and the police tell you that proof you took a photograph is not proof you sent the item.
Anybody with even just one brain cell can take a photo of a mobile phone then post a banana to the buyer.0 -
No proof? Every time you send an item, you should always have proof of shipping. It is for your protection anyway.Happening to me right now, sent a mobile phone to a London address, the buyer waited a month and has now said it never arrived. Posted normal letter post so no proof. Told tem to B off, value £60, rather peel my eyes off with a spud peeler,Mr. Mulla0 -

Digitally delivered and electronically transferred files are not allowed. But stick those files on a CD, DVD, USB stick etc. and you can sell them on ebay.
It's digital delivery that is banned, not digital files.
cheers geordie! like i said soolin, i asked paypal the same questions you throught i was talking tosh about, so please do your research next time."MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0 -

But you'll be breaking copyright. So still banned by ebay. Just because there's listings doesn't mean they are within the rules0 -

You need proof of delivery for paypal. 99% of problems with paypal are because people are too lazy to look at the Terms and conditions and the throw their toys out of the pram when they lose money0 -
Because things never go missing in the post, obviously.Happening to me right now, sent a mobile phone to a London address, the buyer waited a month and has now said it never arrived. Posted normal letter post so no proof. Told tem to B off, value £60, rather peel my eyes off with a spud peeler,
Royal mail don't have an office to deal with lost items, and have never sacked a postie for nicking the mail.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

If you keep a picture of the serial number of the product you will be able to tell whether you get the same one back or not. And if you don't, take a picture of the broken products serial number you received and report it to eBay.0
