  • I finally gave in to my 7yr old and put up the 10ft pool in the garden.

We brought it last year in march from ebay, Got it for £30 with pump, its a metal framed one as well which normally go for £100+. Last year we had it out all 6 wks but obviously with the weather I'd given up this year.

But after much pestering I gave in and they have been in it nearly everyday since as the solar cover has been heating it up nicely.
So don't be put off get that paddling pool and hose onto the hot water tap.:T

  • Kids Clubs on Tour have put on summer programme of coach trips to various theme parks and attractions which have some fairly decent prices including travel and entry.

Alton Towers gate entry is £35.00 for an adult, but its £38.50 with the coach travel and entry with Kids Clubs on Tour. So thats a bit of a saving, what do u think?

Thought I would give this old thread a bump seeing as the summer holidays are nearly upon most of us!!

I found out about Folkestone leas cliff park thanks to this thread, I spent a lot of the hols there last year and will again this year, its fab and the kids love it!!

Hopefully reading this thread will help some of you keep the kids amused and help keep you sane lol!!

If you can think of any free days out that aren't listed on here, please add them for the benefit of others.

Maybe people can comment if they have had experience of any of the activities etc that I find

You can try googling "free stuff to do" in (your county/city) - it can bring up some things near to you that you wouldn't otherwise know about. I've just tried it and it worked for my county.

Loads more ideas for inside and out on these websites:

    dofreestuff.com

www.show.me.uk/games/games - free museum activities and visits.

    www.things-to-make-and-do.co.uk - more creative stuff.

happyfrugalyear.blogspot.com - big round of around 60 ideas for the school holidays.

I'll try and add more as I come across them.
