With that line attenuation you should be achieving a sync rate of 11712kbps and not the 5784kbps you are getting. Something in your wiring is seriously harming your speed.
What socket are you plugged into - is it an extension socket or the master socket?
Have you tried the test socket behind the master socket faceplate?

OK, not a lot of difference there.
Did you use the TEST socket which is INSIDE the master socket as opposed to just the normal socket on the outside? You have to unscrew the front faceplate to get to it.
You are also synching at the worst time of the day as noise levels are always higher during hours of darkness. Try rebooting the router during daylight hours - between 10am and 3pm is about best. The following might explain my bb speed? What you are quoting there is for BB using BT's equipment. You are not using that as O2 has LLU in your exchange - you can see that with the last sentence.
One thing your stats show is that you are using ADSL2 as opposed to ADSL2+ - that's this part DSL Type:G.992.3. ADSL2+ is 992.5 and can give a faster speed at your attenuation.
Something in your wiring seems to be preventing you getting that extra speed - it could be noise levels, it could be the ring wire problem that I linked to.
The people on this site are really good at helping out with issues such as yours. It might be a good idea to post there too.

How do i switch to ADSL2+?
I haven't a clue to be honest - not entirely sure if the O2 box gives you that capability of configurement.
Best place to ask would be the ThinkBroadband forum i linked to earlier - they certainly know their stuff there.
However I think your internal wiring needs sorting in the first place. If this is ok and you do not have a noisy line it should pick up ADSL2+ automatically.0 -
yes when we get on a b.t line we will be (me and family i mean) going on to 02 also
Virgin media is crap! ive been with them for 2 whole years and had nothing but hassle over the couple of weeks since new years eve,
i was told my connection is 15.24 a month yet last month i paid 44.89 for broadband, and half the time the connection is really naff! i get alot of page cannot be displayed or some rubish online,
sorry for the rant anyway

When is the best time to test, ie: when it will be at it's slowest.
Weekday evenings if it's going to slow down - it may not though.
My Virgin connection seems to be a lot better these last 3 weeks or so as I'm consistently getting at least 9.5Mb at all times.
However price wise its normal price is still far dearer than O2 - we'll see what they both offer next January.
Did you ever sort your wiring out for your O2 connection?0
