Well done on getting rid of Lloyds, another one bites the dust!
No i don't have a diary, my numbers are frightening, between DH and i we owe £77,852.48 on cards, £214,320.02 on mortgage and there is a car loan of £150.89 per month, a loan of £402.33 per month and a secured loan of £416.41 per month.:eek::eek::eek:
Lots of indecision at the moment, so comments welcome. We bought this house to do up and sell but with the market the way it is i don't know whether to keep spending on the house to get it ready to sell or pause it and put any extra money to the debts. If we put the debts first it will take a long time 2017 is what i work it out as. If we could sell the house, and who knows, that would clear the vast bulk of the debt....
Still reading your diary has made me put loads on ebay and really sit down and start to look at all this!:D

When I started out I had a DFD of March 2013, it quite amazing how the date changes if you really focus on clearing the debt.
It was the interest that was killing me at over £1000 a month i was paying over 50% straight to interest and not touching the balance, now i can really start to see things moving.
Start with clearing a small debt and it becomes addictiveMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Have you done a SOA PWD? I was freaking out til I did that and received some great advice from other more savvy users on here...
I have everything in a spreadsheet and there is not one thing I havent looked at cancelled or changed.
I think it might be a tough year if I want to clear the rest of it but im going to give it my best shot If I start 2012 with less than 10k i know i have come a long way. Who knows what will happen in the next 12 months and when I look back the last 12 months wernt so bad even if things were tight.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Morning Debtbusters,
Another frosty day here, just hope i can get the car out later to collect smallest person from nursery, DH took him in this morning!
Thanks for your advice so far, i'm following what you've done in terms of uber spreadsheets and even parceled up a box of old cds to musicmagpie last night.
I have started a diary too, so i'm not hyjacking your's with my drivel, hopefully that will help to keep me focused!
I'm not sure we'd get any BTs as our available credit is huge given our salaries, so i think i'll concentrate on Opus and then maybe try paying down an open card after that and see if our credit is better then. We're at 92% usage of our credit the last time i checked with experian and their advice was to get that down as between 50-70% usage gave you a better chance of BTs or lower rate loans...
Right onwards and upwards!
