  • This is the response I recieved.

It was of great concern that I had to change the list of albums and I am aware of how it might look, but I think it is still a pretty good free offer. I was perhaps naive in regards to the massive take up of the promotion but it was and is genuine. We have not asked for anything in return have we? I had those albums to give away, but the site crashed.
A couple of thousand people got their albums from the original list.
I would not deliberately mislead people as it would, as you have said, lead to the grumbling on the net, but we are doing our best with what we have.

WHY, TUNETRIBE?? Why did you "have to" change the list of albums?
  • I haven't received an email containing a code, which I am sad about, because I even registered on TT a day before the offer was due to start, as I knew a lot of people would be trying to the next day. So much for forward planning! Congrats to all of those who got their freebie :)

This is the reply i got:

We are sorry for the problems you have had using TuneTribe and for the delay in our response.

Due to the popular demand of the offer we had to re arrange the albums available, we appologise for any inconvimence caused to you.

If you completed checkout then you will be able to download the album for free now. if the site broke during checkout then you won't.

I went on the website today, it says the album is still in the bag - so I guess the checkout stage hadn't been completed.

Just checked my e-mail - luckily I have received a code, I just hope I can download the album I want (no longer on offers page).
  • Probably could'nt afford to give away so many, they would have to pay a percentage on each one, and the ones that are there now are considered budget titles so are basically very cheap or free. Should'nt have come to this though, they should have been prepared in the first place, its not as if MSE could'nt have forewarned them how many freebie hunters there were likely to be, just dumb quite frankly. Would'nt surprise me if this was a one man in his bedroom operation...
Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive :D

i tried to use the code for an album which was orginally on the offers page but no longer is. It would not let me use the voucher.

I just tried it, wouldn't let me either. It's stupid why they have done this - why are they putting a limit on a download?
  • Well, got the email with a code in.
    Went for OMD The Singles.
It's still downloading an hour later.........
Think I might just give up!
