It really shows how you people cannot abide one iota of mild and non-abusive critique - the Thought Police really do rule on MSE to eliminate any dissent. You can delete as much as you like "Archna" (by the way, people who DON'T have multiple IDs rarely feel the need to defend themselves from the accusation as you have) but the fact remains that MSE trashed this offer.

The censorship also shows that whatever else he may achieve, Lewis is still a very little man.

Well, the offer wouldn't have existed but for MSE.
But, as dazzer68 says, why not try setting up your own thread.

I just got an email today from Tunetribe saying 'sorry you did not get your free album, have this track instead'.

Does that mean the one I have sat on my account waiting to be downloaded has gone?

The e-mail bit was posted on TuneChecker on Friday afternoon and on the site actually on Saturday, not as late as predicted.

Quite easily 10,000 e-mails could be received in a short space of time. Lets face it, there was enough traffic to crash the site so I'm sure there was enough to send e-mails.

I have not heard anything re this free album offer...

I have to say though I used Tune checker to see the various different prices being charged for the Haiti single and Itunes had it for 99p and Tune Tribe 49p - yes I agree it was for charity but was the full 99p charged by Itunes going to the charity????

itunes are notorious for charging lots more than other places. Mainly because some people think they NEED to download from itunes for a song to work on ipods etc. so they take advantage of this.

In this case, equal shares go to the suns appeal and the DEC appeal. Click more on itunes notes to read:
"At least 0.81 per download of each 99p song"

So, still a fair amount, more than if VAT was included.

Itunes state that all their share goes to the appeal, so I wonder where the 19p goes :S

Glad you got your album. I did too although I have to say the last thing on my mind is thanking them for giving me info for a crap website that doesnt work properly and has wasted hours of time for a countless amount of people!! (Not a dig at you for doing so by the way Lynne! Im just still a bit bemused by the way the whole thing was handled.) x
