  • Well, as Christine has said, like everyone else WAIT and you will eventually get to download it. We've all had to, you're no different to us.

Sorry. I don't know who you mean by 'us'. Some people have had enough and given up, I am one of those.

Evidently, I have a different view of the vendor-customer relationship so I am, clearly 'different' to you.

I don't know who Christine is and have little reason to follow her advice and waste more of my life.

As I said in a previous post, I was on the cusp of becoming a TuneTribe customer before this fiasco but the chance of that happening now is fairly non-existent.

Yes! I got one, I got one! After a few attempts I finally got the page to load, selected my album and created an account. It did take a few more attempts for the verification link they emailed me to get past the proxy error but I am now the proud owner of Dirk Wears White Sox! I can't download it yet but that will wait a while. :j

So, keep trying and hopefully you will succeed eventually (I've been trying since the offer opened Wednesday afternoon). As to whether I'll use their site again, that rather depends on the prices as I assume these server problems are hardly typical. I'm far more likely to use the site again now I have my freebie, gods the lengths we go to for a free lunch (so to speak), lol!

I finally got as far as the download page this morning but it won't download.

But at least the order has gone through so I can try to download another day.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Has anyone realised that the Tunechecker Website has been developed by MSE???

This website is operated by Tunechecker.com Limited, a company wholly owned by Martin Lewis. Tunechecker.com Limited is registered in England & Wales with company number 07053448. Registered office 72 Cavendish Road Salford M7 4WA. Martin Lewis and Money Saving Expert are registered trademarks belonging to Martin Lewis.

And its still down so what a waste of time!
TuneTribe is a site that sells music, and is the site with the problem.
Tunechecker is just a site that checks various sellers sites for the best deal on a given album, including Zavvi, iTunes, HMV, TuneTribe and others.
As far as I know, there is no financial link between the two.

Oh, I've read her posts and her advice but nothing that she has said has convinced me that this is a worthy way to spend my life.

I have never met her and she hasn't PM'd me..she obviously doesn't think that much of me. :( If she got to know me, she might find out just how much I spend on downloads and what a valued customer I might be. C'est la vie.

Err...Because I guess that this 'promotion' is to attract new custom and I've tried my level best to be a 'customer' but they haven't let me. They have the ability to contact me by PM via this site...the promotion was supposed to be for MSE members. As a number of people have said, a ticketing system (instituted at any stage) would have been a million times better than this mess.

I'm sorry but I still have (i) some respect for the value of my time and (ii) some belief that there should be at least a mimimal level of 'customer service'. This little fiasco has become like grovelling for change in the street. Perhaps I'm an old fuddy duddy and internet shopping isn't for me.

We value your time, and the best thing would have been greater capacity for traffic. I do regret the frustration that many have experienced, please accept our apologies.
  • This has been a tad shambolic on the P. R. front. However, to Tune Tribe's credit, they have kept us informed, they have assured everyone who has registered a free download and I managed to get the album that I wanted (as did my brother). Yes it has been a frustrating process at times, but I am prepared to give Tune Tribe the benefit of the doubt and consider them for future purchases. The price of many of their albums is extremely competitive.

We are not connected to Tunechecker in any way. We are one of many download retailers on the site. We were lucky enough to get featured on the site and the MSE newsletter with our TUNE promotion, but could not handle the incredible response. We are doing what we can.

Tunechecker is a fantastic resource for anyone, and it also helps us try to give the best price on popular albums.

I can only apologise for our problems handling the traffic and continue to work as hard as we can to fix it.
