    Blurggggg!

It is all subjective as has been said. I personally have used macs and PC's and prefer windows
If find it more intuitive (never thought I would say that about windows).
PC's ARE cheaper than mac. You are paying for a status symbol with a mac - not build quality. Most people that buy an ipod buy one for that very reason. In tests there are better mp3 players - but that is another argument :)

Just go and have a play with a mac, buy one if you like it. Beware though - my dad was always moaning about his PC, so bought a mac. He now moans about the exact same things he did with the PC (it has slowed down on update etc).
In other words - any computer mac or PC is only as good as its user.

Yeh ok.. if you buy an obviously expensive one like an alienware etc. But the original argument was spec for spec on the cheapest option. And you know that :)

Broadly comparable specs are around the same price. There's more to comparing specs than HDD size or the number of USB ports.

    From link:
Bill: "I believe that abortion is morally wrong."
Dave: "Of course you would say that, you're a priest."
Bill: "What about the arguments I gave to support my position?"
Dave: "Those don't count. Like I said, you're a priest, so you have to say that abortion is wrong. Further, you are just a lackey to the Pope, so I can't believe what you say."

    Nothing wrong with that logic!

The problem with that logic is that Dave isn't refuting any of the things Bill says. Bill being a priest doesn't magically make everything he believes about abortion to be false.

Worse still, Dave asserts that we can't trust anything Bill says, because he's a priest. Presumably, Bill believes a great many things to be true that Dave would agree with; 2+2=4, or the capital of France being Paris. So clearly, just because Bill is a priest, it doesn't mean that everything he believes is wrong (regardless of how one feels about priests).

Well since theres no examples of any of the priests arguments and he mentioned "morally wrong" and since he's a priest of the catholic persausion its only logical to assume that he believes in an objective morality as set out by his "god" and that anything that doesn't agree with that objective morality will be "wrong".

Since for the priest morality and wrong are set in stone, yeah he would say that because he's a priest, he has to. Bills arguments arent part of a discussion because that would assume "morality" and "wrong" are open to discussion for him, where its more likely and logical to assume that Bills arguments are to him statements of fact with no room for discussion on the subject. Daves dismissing of Bills arguments are valid on this basis.
