    good evening :)

Am at home now getting an early night to recover from my hangover ;)

Currently munching sweets in leiu of dinner - been so hungry all day from Sunday's run feel like I havent stopped eating!!

Sammy - carbs five pm thing - ignore it, thats if you are trying to lose weight but if you want to run in the mornings (or in fact do a full training plan) then you need to be fueled correctly and carbs do that so keeping enjoying them and enjoying the running :D

:rotfl:true Becky hadn't thought about that....

this was in response to his question - 'so have you sorted your diets out then girls?' and my response being 'yes I am here so I can eat what I like basically!'

Although I am trying to resist the beer and creme eggs at the minute.

He did explain his 'science' behind it. He said carbs release energy. If you eat carbs late and go to bed the carbs are then converted to fat....

He didn't look like he followed his own advice mind...:rotfl:

Gym trainers are basically equipment monkeys - they know squat all about fuelling a training plan tbh - just eat when you are hungry and get 5 a day of fruit/veg - your body will tell you the rest and running will help to tune in to listen to it :D

(and a beer wont hurt if you want it - dont get into that thing of good food/bad food - its just food :D)
  • I bought a box of 6 cream eggs and I dont even like them!

Now, galaxy on the other hand...

Well I have just eaten 175gms of sweets :D

(I will have dinner later too ;))
  • My DS has told us at dinner tonight that he is being bullied by another boy (called Joe) in his class. Going to speak to his teacher in the am. Is it normal to feel like wanting to find said child and give him a massive telling off????

shocking but sadly the norm. When I did the first couple of exams for ACCA I was enrolled at the local college £500 per term and for that princely sum I got to sit in the library one day per week and a tutor came to talk to me for 20 mins......and that was it.

I now teach myself or if I am struggling I go on a revision course from BPP in Birmingham. Pricey courses at approx £320 per course and its four days intensive revision, but they teach you how to pass the exam...

The thing is though Sammy it shouldnt be the norm, ofsted would have a fit if they knew this was happening.

In our college, teaching the same quals (I am doing mine at another college as it would compromise the team seeing as I am course leader) we have a high standard in teaching across the board.

None of the lecturers here would get away with such low standards. All new teachers appointed must do our basic in house teacher training before they are "let loose" on the classes and any appointed to teach 16-19 must have a teaching qualification already.

I wasnt nasty to him mind..........dipomatic yet to the point:D

He doesnt even have a board marker that works and ends up writing on the board in invisible marker:rotfl::rotfl: except for last week when he used a permenant marker instead:eek:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
