Right so take £10 for food and £30 for petrol and that's it. Beleive me it's totally liberating to look at stuff and NOT buy it. And no you won't miss out or be in any way less of a person if you don't buy loads of 'stuff'. Enjoy X

I will be at mams for "lunch" mam is used to doing healthy food, as I have a brother at home with special needs, he has downs syndromw, so we need to watch his weight, so mam will do me healthy lunch.

    Thankyou
  • Morning,

I'm going to try to make this another NSD (or rather, "MSD" - minimal spend day)... the last couple of days I've spent <£1 without even realising it, mind has been somewhere else. Today I have to spend on postage but apart from that (which I don't count towards my daily spends as it is paid for by the buyer), there is nothing that I need.

    Hi all :)
Well, I was aiming for a very low spend day today, apart from just my eyebrows, really need to look at ways to scrape money away from other things, have a little money bag in my handbag and try and collect money to have this service done :S only £4.50 that would be easy to scrape back during the week :)
But so far, I've done a bit of cleaning thats it :D
Im in my PJs hair needs washing so dunno if ill make it into town today :( whops lol.

There's a lot of control going on here today ... well done girls!
I'm aiming for low spend today... I got a free lunch as we had a meeting and while I'm going out after work I'm hoping that's all paid for too! Most I plan to buy is a drink later. Weekend I don't have any plans so would usually go to the shops, but I am going to try and break with tradition and go for a walk or even a bike ride instead... !!
Wish me luck and have lovely weekends yourselves!

Well done all. I went to meet Mum and Dad at a local shopping centre today. Bought sweets and a card for Mum for Mothers Day and posted a Green Metropolis (book) parcel but Mum gave me a tenner back so quids in. Just had a sunbed ( I know don't please nag) and am going to do some bits for work before a quick snooze and meeting my mate later. Mum gave me some M and s food and a bottle of wine as well! Was fab to see her, she FINALLY agreed to get a wheelchair for the centre and had a lovley day buying bits for their house all over the place instead of hobbling round just two shops in agony like she usually does! Morocha I'm on NSD 3 for this month, and they were all in a row.

Thinking of moving, got asked by a friend today to be her flatmate and thinking about it. Don't really like sharing with anyone but she's quite calming and I'd have LOADS more money. My rent is crippling! It's in a different area but still v close to the city and all the parks. I'm going to look anyway. X

    Hi girls,

eatandspendaholic - did you spend your £40? Hope you enjoyed your healthy lunch.
Everyone else seems to have been very good.

I've overdone my walking this week and have blisters :( it was mainly through doing shop comparisons between Mother's Day presents and going into every charity shop, every day. Still haven't bought what I need so will have to go out again tomorrow. Because I can never seem to get anything to fit (clothes) that I need, I end up 'having' to buy something else - this this it was a crafts book and when I got it home realised it was one I had before and gave away!

Morocha I'm up for a challenge. I think mine ought to be to write a list of things I NEED TO BUY and get them instead of buying rubbish all the time.

Yes I think some sort of challange would be quite cool between us :)
    Expenditure today:
    £1.30 buses
    £3.60 on groceries in Asda
    £7 eyebrows
£3.45 taxi (I was waiting for the bus, it was delayed it was raining with a huge black cloud above me, didnt fancy walking 10 minutes from my bus stop to my house and risking getting my hair wet and messy ahead of tonight so it was a luxury but a luxury i could justify)
Tonight spending £0 my date is skint too so he's coming round for cheesy pasta bake lol.

Another thing im learning with this thread, pence does count the old line "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" in the past, I was really bad at, if for example it was £6.70 saying it only cost £6 - as a one off it isnt really anything, but over a few times its soon a good £10!

Tell you what I've been doing -saving £2 coins. I started Jan 2009 with the idea of saving for Christmas but completely forgot about them, so carrying on this year. Can't lift the box up now. Amazing how fast they mount up.

Hope you enjoy your evening NGlady.
