How are you all getting on?
  • Hi Anglea and anyone else around,

Well I didn't call about the placements... I emailed instead, and they told me to call to discuss it (uh ohh). Don't know why I have such a phone phobia but I would rather go see them in person than call.

Hope you have managed not to buy anymore books/misfits Anglea. I have been rather good this month... aside from a few necessary toiletries, all I've bought is a pot of mineral concealer and new blusher brush. The concealer is the only one that doesn't make my skin break out, and the brush... well, I just wanted it :S

I have my eye on soooooo many things at the moment but am trying to be good and resist :o

velocity.girl - well done on the weight loss but sorry to hear you slipped up and are back in debt :( how long do you think it'll take for you to clear it again? Can you not sell some of your old stuff that doesn't fit?

    Hi CL

I'm very surprised not to be reading about 'returns' :)

My goodness, you have been good!

I did buy some books today, but they aren't for me, a last minute pressie to give extra. Although I have to admit, I would have bought some for me if I'd spotted anything :(

Re the phone. I have put off making a call for over 2 years :rotfl: This is because I did call once, and nothing got sorted and because that company had messed me around in the past, for some reason I can't do it. Nor can I email or write a letter although recently I did a 'trial run' email which I sent to myself about it, but still haven't faced doing it properly probably because it's going to sound so stupid, after so many years.

So you're not the only one CL. I'm usually ok on the phone for most things, but certain ones get me frazzled.

I wonder how NGlady and DeMan are getting on?

Salesaddict - are you still around?

  • Merry christmas Anglea, frogletina, and everyone else on the Reformed Shopaholic thread :)

Hope you're having a lovely xmas day.

I have already indulged in a little xmas shopping - I bought a perfume set from Boots online, but it's a perfume I always use and my nan gave me some money for xmas so I think that's allowed ;) xxx

Hello Froglatina and CL and everyone else.

CL my blood pressure went up when I read about your shopping until I read it was online and a pressie - you've avoided a telling off from me LOL

    Anyone else watching Eastenders?
  • Haha Anglea - sorry!! It's the only thing I've bought (so far).
I'm busy catching up on the past week's eastenders, so will watch tonight's on catchup. I'm looking forward to the Royle Family xmas special at 9pm ^_^
  • Ok, the sales need to stop tempting me... I've just made a tiny order with Dorothy Perkins, but in my defence, it's a jumper that has been out of stock for ages and only just come back in. It's not reduced or anything but I do love it.

Are any of you braving the crowds for the Boxing day sales?
This is a bad time of year for us shopaholics, there's so much temptation all around :S

    Hi all

CL.............what can I say.........how many jumpers do you already have?:)

I won't be going anwhere, the shops aren't opened here plus the ground looks very dodgy, it's iced over the snow that covered the ice

I have an appt in the city 4th January so I'll look round, but I never look for clothes (transport expensive for returns), however, likely to be tempted by Waterstones, or magazines in WH Smith I can't get here.
