Ooo update with Mr Notts... he wanted to take me out tomorrow night... but im playing hard to get a little and ive suggested Wednesday instead
He works about a 2 minute drive from me, so think he shall be picking me up
Can't let a guy think im TOO available hehe Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Anglea - voluntary work in my own home sounds good... but probably not challenging enough for me, as I need to get out there and do something. Develop those 'interpersonal skills' that employers seem to want so badly :S
Re: the muscle, might not be much of a consolation but at least it's not fat? What sort of exercises have you been doing? My love handles aren't budging despite running 3-4 times per week! I am looking leaner everywhere else though.
My hair sounds a lot like yours, I have lost a lot of volume recently... no idea why. I've just bought some Nizoral shampoo which is supposed to be good for hair loss. I'm praying for a miracle. My hair is pretty long though (about 18 inches) so maybe it's just too heavy and needs a trim?!
NG: telephones have always been my worst nightmare. Though recently I've had to make a few calls and they weren't anywhere near as bad as I was expecting. I used to get my mum to do all my phonecalls for me but now she refuses to call anywhere for me anymore!

Hi ladies, SATC 2 was ace. We dressed up and so did lots of other people, the cinema was packed. Had dinner and Cosmos after so a fun day. I love SATC, I'm SO a Samantha! Was out last night with girls from work. It was ace. Copped off really early so only spent a tenner. Bonus!!! XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Souk, so it was worth going to see SATC, glad you enjoyed it as well as your night out - pity you didn't cop off in the first five minutes, you could have saved even more LOL
CL -phone call phobia - imagine the person at the other end in the nude or even worse on the toilet  now you can't be that scared to talk to them!
Your question about excercises. Normally I do very long walks most days then in the evenings when I'm in the mood (often stop for months), a mix of dancing, yoga, aerobics, ballet, running up and down the stairs, back excercises.
Last few months I added an ex. bike which I only ever do short 2 mins intervals of fast cycling a few times daily as I hate using it. Plus a lot of floor excercises which I tended to avoid the past year unless it was specific back excercises. So perhaps it's down to these two - but it's probably down to fat as I have been very naughty for a long time now with all those crisps and cakes.0 -
Angela... I remember when I was about 15, thinking that SATC was a "naughty" show too. I remember switching it on, and they was discussing errrrr vibrating instruments, and then generally acting bad... I was watching it on about sound level 2 so nobody cought me :S lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0

You must have a good memory to remember that episode LOL0 -
Lol Angela, I do actually have a odd memory. I don't remember things I should, but little snippets of memories happen for me :S
OK - I now have a new financial responsbility!
I am buying my FIRST car
It is a little bargain from a friend of my sisters husband, £200 car worth a £1000. I will SORN it at first as I cant drive yet lol, but financially, to refuse a bargain like this will be a bit daft cos in 5 months to buy this car ill need 800 more! And I did fancy a 106 anyway. Also family member is a purgeot mechanic so is going to take my little "poppy" in and tinker with it for a couple of weeks ill be in no rush though as I CANT DRIVE lol, was told he wouldn't accept anything for it, but going to try and push £50 in his hand
It is a great car though, been with the person I am buying its girlfriend since new (Its R reg though so quite old! lol) and we know the service history, which I think is worth a little bit of money in itself.
Always knew i'd call my first car Poppy
and it turns out the cars going to be red... so thats FAITE!
OK - so MSE challange for me now. I have saved £250 this month of my wages in my "car fund" but I want to use that for driving lessons, so I am going to have my £10 per day budget, and try and save as much of my £200 for the vehicle as possible through that
I brought a top today before I was asked about buying the car... £28.... but thats like a tenth of my car price, so although I love it... guess what.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Eeeeh, that's fab NG! Sounds like you got a bargain. Have you checked how much insurance on that model will be? My brother wants a 206 but it was going to be so expensive for him to insure that he has had to reconsider.
I want (well not want, but rather need) to learn to drive too... I was thinking about it recently actually but not sure which driving school to go to - my brother had a really cheap instructor but never really had anything good to say about him, so I am going to go with someone else. Have you sorted out driving lessons yet? When are you going to start your lessons?0 -
I started learning ages ago, but gave up last April. Was told not to have any more lessons until I passed my theory as I was ready for my practical, but then I never really did it because I didn't have a job etc etc. So need to start back with it again

Just a word of advise, I started my lessons originally with a independent instructor and believe me I have never known a more vile man, then I paid I think it works out at £3 a hour more to go with a driving school and my driving instructor there is a fantastic guy, so much so I will be ringing the driving school and asking for him in particular and waiting if need be for a vacancy with him
Wont be able to have afford it this month, but hopefully come payday at the end of the month ill have the money
Just need to be a little more careful with my money from now on and think before I buy

Hi girls,
NGlady - you're returning the top?? Is that right?
Well done on your 'Poppy', you'll have a focus for your savings now.
Embarassing confession I failed my test about 20 times as my nerves went to pieces each time although I've always had cars and driven (with friends) even driven a hearse and cadillac up to London! Stopped trying years ago and gave up driving as I felt like killing someone out of frustration from all those failures lol.
Tip - having male instructors can be a distraction :rotfl:0
