Why are you all so quiettttt?
Another boring Saturday..! I'm currently resisting the temptation to eat a whole packet of Milkyways (but if I do, my skin will go crazy). I really wish my mum wouldn't buy things like that.
  • Hi all. Very miserable here today. Not going out as hoping to have a NSD to make up my quota for the month. Been quite good lately. Doing spending diary and NSDs help a lot. Defrosting freezer at present.

    Hi all

Page 4?? Well, I 've been quiet because I didn't use the computer at all yesterday and only just switched on today. Basically I've really been overdoing it online and ended up with a back flare up. So instead of sitting down, I'm standing after re-posititioning the computer.

Souk you sound very positive, glad you had a good time and have a good time at the cinema.

CL- have you done voluntary work? To add to your cv. Have you re-arranged your time out (now your're going to be busy with mum)? Have you eaten the choccies or been good?

NGlady - good luck for your 'proper' job, are you still after that new suit?

VNMS - how many NSD's do you need? Good luck with the freezer, hope there aren't any mishaps.

Me- I've been excercising like crazy for the last few weeks as well as my daily long walks as I wanted to fit into those skirts I bought a few months back which didn't fit well. Cut out snacks, cakes etc. Very unhappy bunny this morning. Still tight - in fact worse than before. Don't understand it.

    Hi Anglea,

I'm afraid my mum, took a backseat yesterday as I had other stuff to do... usually she just wants rid of me so I thought I would be the awkward one for a change :S

The milkyways have been hidden so I have no worries there.

I haven't done any voluntary work - in fact I've done very little of anything since I left school. I guess I haven't really needed to until now, and yes, I realise how bad that sounds.

That is frustrating about the skirts... are you sure you haven't shed fat but gained muscle? Or maybe you were overexercising and not eating enough calories? I have done that in the past and my body tends to cling onto every once of fat just to teach me a lesson. It's always the case that when you think you've lost weight you haven't, and vice versa.

^I hate it when that happens. That's why I always write my replies in Notepad and then c+p them.

It really feel like a Monday today, no idea why! Haven't done much today apart from the washing, but am looking online for voluntary work placements at the moment... if I am feeling brave I might shoot off a couple of emails tonight and see if I get a reply. I'm not one for getting bored/lonely easily, but I reckon it's about time I did something to improve my situation :)

Hope you're all having a nice relaxing Sunday.I'm just waiting on dinner cooking.

Souk08 - let us know what you thought of the SATC movie. I think I've only ever watched a couple of episodes of SATC... I never really got the hype with it, but I know I'm in the minority who feel like that.

    Hey all :)

CL - I used to be like this, I could easily type the Email, but when it came to pressing send... thats when I would struggle, it would feel so final. How about, typing the email and asking somebody else to press the magic button for you?

I never really watched Sex in the city either. I presume, that you are around my age? So I think possibly we missed the SATC hype. I brought sex in the city on dvd for about 2 quid fro Amazon a couple of weeks ago and still not got round to watching it - may do so later :)

I have had a very expensive weekend. BUT it is stuff that I have been reallllly despitate for. If I had to leave my hair for another week I think I may have actually cried, and gone and begged the hair dresser for it in return for cleaning the salon lol so £50 was spent in there!! Also went and tried the lovely suit on today, but A: they didnt have my size skirt - so I cried in the changing rooms.. B: the jacket looked awful, so didnt buy it :) Instead brought a lovely dress for work :)

Went on a lovely date last night :) We got on really well, and it was very ... well "easy" to be with him. So fingers crossed there. It has made me realize how much Mr Manchester was never going to work for me, how hard it was to see each other etc, when Mr Nottinghamshire lives about 40 minutes from me, so much easier :) And I actually did fancy him from the moment I saw him :) A lot of faffing around though as the M1 was jammed, so he was late :) but I forgave him of course :)

On another note.. I still have my £48 I saved in my tin in another purse :) And its stopping there until I find something special to spoil myself with :)

Also... decided to be from MSE and wear a dres ive already got for the Christening. Was looking round and theres nothing really that is better enough to warrent a spend on :) So thats going to be worn again!

Hope everybodies enjoying their summers afternoon :)

Yeah, I'm like that too... I particularly hate making/taking phonecalls :S I'd be rubbish in a call centre!!! But as I've said I'm *really* making the effort this year to get myself sorted out, I'm fed up of living like a poor hermit hearing about my friends who all have kids, their own houses, flash car, etc etc now :o

SATC is one of them things I never quite got into. I think we're a similar age so maybe that's it... I remember it was on when I was in secondary school. Everyone used to rave about it but I was more of a little goth not interested in anything remotely girly.

Glad you got your hair sorted anyway :) I didn't realise hairdressers were so expensive! That's one of my goals for the year - to go to a real hairdresser instead of having home haircuts, lol. I'd love my hair layered as it's quite thin and lank at the moment. Maybe someday :S

Ooh & it's good to hear that Mr Manchester is now a distant memory. Sounds liek you had fun, feeling relaxed straight away is always a good sign. I usually know within minutes whether I am going to like/be able to get on with someone.

As for summer's afternoon... my part of the country is awful, it's cold, wet and windy at the moment. Gotta go for my run later, good job I haven't washed my hair as it'd only get ruined.

CL - I think you would be suprised, the first couple of phone calls is hard, but I never imagined myself being able to work i na call centre, until I got my first job in one, then it just kind of clicked for me :)

    Hi girls,

SATC - I remember when it was on I didn't watch it for ages as I thought it was some kind of !!!!!! LOL but when I finally watched a few episodes I liked it, however it was such as long time ago that I've forgotten all the characters.

Haircuts - as it happens last night I cut my hair and did quite a lot of thinning out and when it dried I got quite a surprise because the colour seemed so much brighter as though it had been dyed - but it wasn't!! No idea how that happened. I'm so glad I thinned it because I think it's finally got rid of a worrying problem I've had for ages where my hair had been falling out by the handful, all the floors in the house were littered with my hair . I used to cut it now and again but it didn't make any difference and I didn't thin it because I also had a lot of probs with matting and frizz which I originally believed was caused by the different layers.

However during an advert on tv on Friday I heard that when you have hair that frizzes, it says to comb on the conditioner, wash it out then DO NOT COMB it again. I was scared to do this but thought I'd give it a go. Voila - hair perfect and not only that, no hairs coming out either.

NGlady - glad you feel relief after getting your hair done. Shame about the suit, but it's also good you've found a way round the Christening.

When I read about your Mr Notts and Mr Manchester I kept thinking it sounds like we're watching Blind Date LOL

CL, you could always do voluntary work in your own house, not even go anywhere e.g. I used to do all sorts of things for a variety of charities like this e.g. financial, admin, organising, making things (crafts).

Also there are charities that want people to act as 'Angels' where you send gifts to children/adults once a year.

I can let you have all the contact info about this kind of charity work if you're interested.

I spent today with the family and ex. Now I'm alone again and looking forward to doing more excercise.

CL I think you might be right about the muscles v fat as I noticed muscles (or something?) in a place that wasn't there before. Or is it love handles??:( My knees are killing me too so I think that's down to the excercises.

Strange weather, although sunny but extremely windy. As I was walking to mum's today I had to hold onto my skirt as it was blowing right up :rotfl:
