NG, it's ok but I'm not really @rsed....*waits as other members of this thread die*...seriously, I can't be bothered....I'd genuinely rather try and save up some money. Besides my weaknesses are things like food.

As long as it doesn't include McDonalds you'll be ok. p.s. I'm still alive after reading your '--sed'
NGlady - WHY ON EARTH did you mention a chip barm, I'll be salivating all day thinking about that. Don't remember how mamy years since I had one but still remember the taste...............................(total heaven). Mind you the name I have for it is a chip butty - thick with butter - something you don't like.
Going out in a minute and taking a variety of loose change bags - coppers, pounds and 50 ps.0 -
Hi all, how did you get on today?
Only shopping I did was grocery however I'm very annoyed that I gave into my worst temptation - mini cheddars multi pack of flavoured crinkle snacks - already eaten 4 bags! :mad:0 -
Well, 11 hours later, I have finished most of the tasks for today....
Got rid of 1 tank top, 1 t shirt, 1 hoodie, my housemate's pair of shoes, large tote bag, DVD rack, ukelele, guitar and 1 CD...
Bought loads of useful groceries for the store cupboard so even when skint I won't go hungry...think cuppa soup, pasta, pasta sauce, etc. I did spend money on a juicy beef steak though...not had one this YEAR. I am overall being a good girl though...money is tight and has other uses than frivolous things.
Anglea, my comment above about you lot dying is the fact I cannot be bothered to shop etc, not that I said @rsed. I am doing really well although it depresses the bazookas off me selling things I paid loads of money for, to get only 1/4 of the value in return.0 -
Hi FE, well done for all your hard work today. Funny you mentioning a ukelele, because a very long time ago my son was selling his and I put it on a classified website thinking it would be hard to sell, however I was very wrong and I couldn't believe the amount of people that kept emailing me, even years later. So for some reason they are very popular.0

Angela, you know how you've already gathered im a little on the confusing side? I will only eat butter once melted, so I actually enjoy a chipcob :S nothing better, with lots of salt and vinegar! . . . go on, you know you want to
lol. Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
NG, I love lots of vinegar on chips. However, the best has to be when they're cooked in dripping and put into a buttered roll. Mmmmm.
Anglea, I also disposed of a set of scales.
and I've so far got pending out: A bag of rubbish (to the bin of course), a DVD (to CEX) and a hoodie (to charity).
There's no stopping me now, I tell y'all!!0 -
Fember, could I borrow your services? I would LOVE somebody to come and just chuck loads of things out for me lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0

NG, you just have to bite the bullet and do it. I also took 2 brand new board games and a random nappy sample I was sent, to the childrens' hospital to donate today. I have SO much more to do here....it's mad. I have 117 pairs of pants !!!!!!. WHO needs that many?! Think I'll have some fun with certain ageing pairs; wear them one last time and just bin them...that's what I already did with a pair today...I hate having to go through mountains and mountains of stuff to find what I want and never being able to get it done in a hurry so I have to do this.
I've set aside 11 DVDs to have one last look at before attempting to sell at CEX along with the other one I mentioned earlier.
Just need some money..also going to list things on eBid soon; got some nearly new shoes (UK size 5) and all manner of clothes; size 6 and 8. Even got a brand new bottle of perfume still in a sealed box. Madness.
Oh, and some new books have been added to my Greenmetropolis page, so got 160-odd to try and sell now...ASAP in case I end up moving house next month as I hope to...depending on uni mainly...0 -
Doing so well here....so far today, 2 big bags of rubbish, 1 box full of rubbish have gone.
Still working through my stuff and taking some bits to CEX and Cash Converters tomorrow, listed even more books on Greenmetropolis.com (about sex, ponies and bonsai trees, what a disturbing combination!!) and am going to have a big clothes sale online next week starting from 1p plus £1 postage for everything (some items will cost more to post so will be charged accordingly).0
