Being so OCD over waiting for these university results; the interviewer told me I am a strong candidate and said about one module; "You'll probably be correcting me in class!" but that there are people he already offered a place to and he is first having to see whether or not they want their place...he also liked my honesty in saying that there was something on the course I would struggle with....what do you all make of it?
I need this opportunity more than anything!! Please keep any positive vibes coming my way...0 -
Fember - sending u LOTS of positive vibes. Be positive, end of the day even if its not what you want to hear, theres things you can do, apply to other uni's etc, so dont be too down on yourself. Another thing is, you seemed to have built a repure up with the interviewer which sounds very positive cos he will have remembered you unlike alot of candidates who wont say boo to him who wont stand out.
Im sending you lots of positive vibes and wine

FlickeringEmber, I'm sending you lots of positivity. I hope you get your place.
Good luck with your clearout NG. I went through a cleaning/clearout out phase a few weeks ago... it didn't last. Room is like a pigsty.
Though for the first time in probably 3-yrs I only have one thing to return -- and I'm returning it because it's faulty, not because I don't like it.
Right I'm off for an early-ish night as have to be up at 6am.

Well, today is a day of decluttering and general organisation of my stuff...need to really cut down on the ridiculous amount.
Oh, and learn a song to play at a show on Saturday on the guitar I was going to sell; I'll sell it next week instead. :P
Today's been a MSD; £1 special rate on the bus today plus £1.14 on cheese, 50p on milk and £1.69 on cola.0 -

Argh dont you hate it when you write a message then it doesn't appear!
Morocha, have a fantastic holiday, hope your little girl(?) enjoys it too
Don't worry too much about every penny just enjoy the holiday
CL - my clear out last night consisted on taking the stuff out the cupboard, putting them in new boxes - so it is tidier lol - and just throwing 5 blunt razoers away, anything else I had in my head I needed to keep just in case I happen to need a half million tubes of just pink by next hand cream, what am I gonna do eat the stuff if the recession gets worse
I know, I went shopping on Saturday and for the first time in god knows how long, there isnt a single item to be returned :O
How sad is it though that faith has gone into administration!Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Hahh, one of sister has loads of Just Pink handcream too..! She always buys the giftset as she loves the perfume.
It's a shame about Faith... can't say I've ever bought anything from them though, I think they're a bit overpriced considering you can get a pair of flats in Primark for £4 (well I can't with my size 9s but I mean most normal people) :S I feel sorry for the people who'll lose their jobs.
My family are going to the shopping centre later. I'm not sure I will bother to go as I'll probably just end up buying a load of unnecessary carp & spending £10 on food. Plus I don't really like going shopping with my sisters either, they are brats :S I'll give my mum the top I want to return though
So yeah, my plan for the day - wash my hair, dust, hoover, go for my run, package up some ebay parcels and avoid junk food!!!
(not sure the last one will happen). Exciting stuff, not. :rotfl: 0 -
CL, I hear ya. I'm doing my best to stay in and not give in to the McDonalds which is 2 minutes walk from my flat. I don't even like McDonalds and I need to keep reminding myself of this fact....0

It's awful when temptation is literally just around the corner!!! I'm within walking distance of KFC and the best Chinese takeaway ever, so it's a constant battle to avoid them both :S0

I hear your pain CL - at my old house there was nothing in my village apart from a italian, 2 indians and 2 x chinese and the best cippie
