    Morning all!

Gorgeous bright sunny day here - bit nippy still but SUNSHINE!!!

I have to drive to Redditch today to meet a friend for lunch and DD is coming with me. Now, I will be taking the cost of MY lunch out of the 'un-necessities' purse (am very proud because I started the week with £20 and still have £16.53). Do I have to pay for DD's lunch out of it too, d'ya think?

Partly I feel I shouldn't as I kind of told myself that the £20 budget was for MY wasteful spending. But partly, she wouldn't be having lunch out if I wasn't, so sort-of her lunch IS my wasteful spending. Am I trying to bend my own rules by telling myself it can come from the 'necessities' purse?
No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(

    Hi all

tyzer - reading about your lunches out dilemma I'm wondering if we ought to have three purses, an extra one for eating out/ family treats?

I'm on 'spending alert' because I had asked DS to drive me to the next town purely because they have a Lidl and I can get something a bit different to eat and he was also taking me for a drive in the countryside although I was a bit uneasy about this as the last time he did this we ended up walking through a muddy forest and I was hands and knees up a steep hill LOL and I still haven't fully got over the trauma of it. Then I suddenly remembered there's a craft shop in that town I've never been to and an old fashioned book shop/magazines so that is worth a look.

So we're going this afternoon apparently. Wonder how many purses to take? LOL

Tyzer, how about half from your "special" purse and half from your non special purse for your daughters lunch?

Angela, behave at the craft shop -and come back and confess your sins when you return lol.

Had job interview - find out in 72 hours.

Spent - £2.00 on a bottle of water and a sausage cob as I got to sutton too early and didnt have any breckfast, damn how bus time falls. £2.00 on a cake to cheer mum up (Food budget is now £18.80 - whops!!) :) £2.50 on bus.
So total spends are £6.50 therefore leaving my a whole £3.50 for tomorrow - whops lol.

Im trying to remember now, whether the self service machine at train stations take 1ps and 2ps.. if they do, im going to take a few pounds worth of 1ps and 2ps to go towards my train ticket to Manchester - haha can u imagin people standing behind me waiting to buy their ticket, they will be blessing me :)

    Have

:jOh, Tyzer, loving the sunshine! I sat outside in the park today with my (packed) lunch and didn't even wear a coat!!!!

Well done on the job interview Nglady, let us know if you get the job!!
Anglea - I'm jealous of you looking round a real craft shop! Yes let us know how many purses you needed! I went for a wander round john lewis craft section the other day (surprisingly not overpriced - although a wide range from basics to super expensive lovely lovely things!) I wandered around for I'm sure hours completely lost in a lovely craft world. Only bought the dye I went in for as well!

tlb - hope you enjoyed your day at the park and well done on taking your own lunch.
CL - how did you get on with taking the hair dye back??

Did manage to just buy dye for my dress yesterday (I went for blue in the end) oh and healthy snacks as well. Today was going to be a NSD BUT had to pay my coffee dues for the office. Tonight I want to try and dye the dress... best make sure I don't dye my whole kitchen blue as well!!!!

    Hi all

The thought of dying clothing terrifies me (all the potential mess) although I recently did some shoes. How did you get on supersmith?

Craft shop - DIDN'T SPEND A PENNY. Yes, that's right, no purses needed. Although I could have done, but I realised that I'd only chuck my purchases into my craft box at home and forget about them :)

Supersmith - this shop is on two floors (although not a big shop) and its got loads of stuff for spinning wool and quilting mainly. So wool and material everywhere although also has some cross stitch, tapestry etc. Next door is the old fashioned shop selling unusual books and magazines and art stuff. DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING THERE EITHER. Can't believe it  I would have bought some dolls house mags if they had some. I did feel an attraction to a rack of historical books but DS kept asking if I really needed them, so I moved past them. Then there were some beautiful greeting cards, however, I like to either make or else find bargains to left them. Now I'm wishing that I had bought a few as I've never seen ones like it before.........(you know the feeling I'm sure)..

Then, I did go on a long walk up a steep hill and got stuck. Had a panic attack and sat down and couldn't move :rotfl:It happens every time I'm out with DS nowadays. LOL That goodness I was wearing a denim skirt and not something else.

The reason for this with DS is because when he's home with a car I start talking about hill forts and Green Man etc (my hobby is history) so he always takes me to them and always when I'm not dressed and enroute to somewhere else e.g. today we were going shopping. And I always end up stuck as I have a phobia about going down slopes.

Did go to Lidl later and the shopping was much more expensive than I imagined. Got home and started making the tea wondering why on earth I was that tired - forgot about the long walk.

NGlady - your spends weren't on anything that drastic - at least! And it's nice to treat your mum.

    Angela,

I saw my auntie in town and she said "What you been buying now" - I said Oh a cake for mum shes not eating too well at the moment. She said, buying your mum cakes, must remember to tell my lot lol. Can just imagin you saying "its nice to treat your mum" quite loud to your lot? lol.

Men are good at taking us places when where completely dressed wrongly. Had one guy tell me to glam up, we're going to dinner - took me to KFC :/ in a posh dress?! and then another guy "Oh we will just grab a bite before the cinema" so wore something quite casual, took me to the best place in Mansfield, whops!

Men no comprende when it comes to fashion!

    Supersmith

Good luck with the dyeing of clothing i so couldnt do that.. and bad luck fo the NSD day hate it when things are going so well and it happens at last minute!!

Can't believe my reading my book under my fleece until the house warmed up, went to a two hour nap!!

When I was unpacking the groceries from DS's car today I found the carpet cleaner I bought Tuesday, and it got me thinking, that I never list my spends in a notebook like some of you do. As I'd probably get a nasty shock! I know I write it on here sometimes. Looked back to Tuesday, no mention of the steamer - £30..

    Evening folks,

Today has been a bad hair/face/body/everything day! Could've gone shopping with my mum & sisters/bro but didn't bother as I wasn't in the mood ()...and because they all do my head in so I stayed in on my own, nice & peaceful for a change! :o LOL, I'm painting a lovely picture of my family aren't I! Anyway, today is a NSD.

Tomorrow I'll try to get a refund on the hairdye. My mum says she's returned hair dye before so maybe it'll be ok??

I've been looking at my savings and I have less than I thought. This makes me sad :( as I don't even have anything to show for it.

I used to do a lot of online money-making (surveys, daily clicks, competitions, etc) but stopped about a year ago. So I'm going to make the effort to get back into it again...
    ===================
Anglea - well done on resisting the crafting goodies. LOL at getting stuck... though I bet you weren't laughing at the time :o

supersmith - good luck with dying the dress, let us know how you get on!

NGlady - £6.50 isn't too bad... you always seem to spend a fair bit on food though (I hope you don't take that the wrong way, lol, I don't mean it like that). Could you not try taking a sandwich or something with you when you go out? Just an idea :)
