*Comes in with her head hung low*
    Ladies . . . I've had a "moment" a BODY SHOP GLITCH moment :(
I am going to a wedding in August and im not really a big make up person so have been after some lovely new makeup to wear for the occasion, in some summery shades :) Also as im getting old im getting blotchy skin :( so ive brought a tea tree product a lipstick that moisturises and looks like lipgloss and a makeup pallet for £10.30!! which I suppose isnt that bad REALLLLY
Short of it is, I took £10 out the bank earlier, that now needs to last me until Saturday morning, at least, and hopefully even pay my bus fare to the train station, if i can do this I have covered the little moment ive just had.

    CL - bless you lol.

Ohhh, and I am going to try returning the hair dye - worst they can say is 'no', right?

I think its up to you what you do with it. I think you need to highlight a major spending weakness, such as shopping. Then figure out how much you can afford to put in that purse either on a weekly or monthly basis (guess on the basis u get paid) and then if you want say a new top, it HAS to come out of this purse, otherwise you can only buy it through several days of NSD's

Im having a NSD day today :) Forcing myself to stop in. As dirty as this soundss I find if I don't wash my hair the night before and have to do it during the day the day after it gives me a NSD as I don't get out the house! lol. So going to have a nice clear out and listen to some music :) I have my new joggy bottoms and top on and I feel gooood cos im not allowed many purchases now :)

I've read a spending dairy "cinnys spending dairy" and its making me think I want to start one, shall have to give it more thought :)
Thanks for the info re: the two purses. To be honest though, I don't really have many outgoings (i.e. necessities) - almost all of my spends are unnecessary :o So not sure if it would work for me.

If I stopped in when I washed my hair, I'd never go out..! I have to wash mine every other day as it gets mega greasy (I always wear it down).

On a completely off topic note, my mobile bill has just arrived, and its a good £20/£25 less than most months :O shows its worth giving the company a call to lower package price when out of contract. Also being careful with the 0870 etc numbers, I was a !!!!!! for them in the past, at one point i was dealing 0800 rip off from my mobile instead of 0800 free from the landline just to avoid walking downstairs. . . A vey reasonable £20.25, im very happy :)
Bet that was a nice surprise :)

CL - not sure whether they'd let you take the dye back? Might be worth a try if you won't use it. I need to dye mine as well, mine's naturally brown but I put red bits in the front... when I don't keep dying it it turns pink
    .
Ahh whenever I've dyed my hair red, it has always faded super quickly and gone orange  So annoying. I wish mine went pink!

CL - know that feeling, I have to wash it nearly every day and deffinatly everyday at "that time" of the month. My hair is that long I tend to do something very naughty and wash it before I sleep and sleep wet however this is risking giving me infection of the scalp :O and also it makes me look like a scary mad woman. No man will marry me looking like that pmsl.

Anglea - Yeah, I'm sorry, I read your post as a kind of 'You must know no-one ever wins on those things' - one of the worst things about addiction is knowing everyone else is right and still not being able to stop yourself!
I appreciate you weren't actually meaning it that way and I'm sorry if I sounded snappy. In answer to what you WERE saying - somedays I'd spend a tenner and win a fiver, some days I'd win my tenner back, occasionally more - but definitely overall I lost. If I spent £60 a week I'd probably win £20-£30.

Well done to everyone who managed not to splurge today - I have spent the princely sum of £2 on my daughters swimming again. I did get taken for a lovely meal out at lunchtime though!
No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(

Yesterday was a spend day after all:
TK Max - £38.12 - Two sleeping bags for my daughter a toy and an organiser for me
Matalan - £9.50 shoes for daughter and necklace for me
Home Bargaines £5.52 bits and bobs and biscuits

£53.14 - Total Um not good really Sleeping bags were the only thing I needed to get

Today I thought I was going NSD and was really chuffed with myself till I remembered I signed up for a magazine subscription today got a free gift and is a magazine I get quite often plus get a bit of money off!!!! If it was for this thread I would have thought it was a NSD because I didn't actually hand any cash/card over!!!!!

NGlady - oh please start a diary and post a link on here...

Tomorrow I'm off to some park with friends so think that is £10 to get in plus getting there... But I've made my lunch and some biscuits to take with me and I didn't even go shopping for it I made it all up with what was in my cupboard so am pleased with myself on that front.

Friday is shopping day but think I will take myself off to Aldi as I don't need that much and when I go there I don't spend that much... PLus it's not in town so I won't buy anything else.....

Saturday I hope to be a NSD

I think a NSD should be no spend on anything - I know this must be hard if you have to get public transport and don't have a season ticket/wkly/mthly ticket...

Right off to sort my baby bag out for tomorrow..

Oh and thanks to whoever (sorry can't be bothered to look back at the posts) who said I could justify my online photography course I'm very pleased with my pics I took yesterday.

    Take care

I said you could justify your photography course lol. TLB how do you think about a purse for "child" related expences? So her new shoes etc?

Well I read Angelas post as an interested query in a non-judgemental way. We're all nothing but honest on this thread about our addictions, and she was just trying to get to know you a little more.

No more impulse purchasing for meeee!!

    Tyzer - all ok,

Completelylost - so your brother drives you to get a takeaway? :) That's a good excuse!.

tlb - what magazine did you have?

NGlady - Oh, no, not the Body Shop!!! Mind you, tea tree oil lipstick - that could be good punishment for you, as the taste is awful.

NSD for me, stayed in. However (confession time) I just ate a massive (mixing bowl size) of semolina.First time in donkeys years I ever made it.

    Anglea - I love semolina :)

Well, my brother drove me mad... but not to the takeaway. My mum ate half so I don't feel too bad.

& well done on your NSD.

NGlady - oh dear @ your Body Shop spends. I have gone cold turkey on all makeup/toiletry purchases as I have enough stashed away to last me a lifetime. But if you don't have much then maybe you can justify it..? :o

As for my hair... I couldn't go to bed with damp hair, my nana always told me not to :rotfl: I usually wash mine in the morning anyway and blow dry it - if I leave it to dry naturally it resembles a birds nest :S

Right I'm off to bed -- early night! xxx
