Feeling a lot better about work today because I have got all the stressy stuff out of the way. Keep doing tiny bits to my application, as I know sooner or later there are going to be changes at work, just a hunch but I think there will be some job cuts. Going to plan what stuff to put on ebay this weekend too.
Must be off now, brekkie to eat.
Have a good day everyone.
xx

Hey Mrs R
Well I was really strong yesterday and resisted buying Marie Claire with the free Cowshed showergel (I think Grumpy cow sounds awesome), as I don't need any showergel, and also resisted buying Glamour magazine with the free concealer as I still have some Touch Eclat left. I may not be so strong today as there is an awesome Mikey bracelet for £8 and a Ralph Lauren floral blouse for £15. I'll report back later.
Two of my ebay items have bids on, which is awesome because if all of it goes I can clear and cancel my overdraft this month so that's another £300 gone. I will be sad when I'm packaging things up though
I have to go backwards (selling stuff) to come forwards again though (means I get out of debt, get a house, and if I get another job means I can do more studying to get an even better job, then I can come back with spangles and sparkles galore
Thrifty likes her spangles and sparkles, they make her very sparkly and happy xx

Evening
Spent tonight going through all my things and costing up how much they would bring me on ebay. As heartbreaking as it is to do this, I think this is my turning point and where my lesson needs to be learnt. I couldn't afford this stuff in the first place, so now it has to go. I can come back later and have some special things if I have the money.
So I'm going back to basics, I'm taking back the bracelet I bought today because I don't need it. What I need more than anything right now, is to be out of debt. I need a roof over my head, food, water and essential shoes and clothes. I need my life back, and to do that I need to save for a house that is my own, to get some savings down for any rainy days that may appear, to have meaningful past times and to have a holiday. I've put myself back years by getting myself in debt, so now it is time to claw my way back.
I need to find an inner strength to change me and my ways back to how I used to be. No-one said it was going to be easy, but I know what I need to do, and I have to darn well get on with it and stop moaning.

You sound like me, I had a real scare during the week, working out my money and wondering about various things. I waste money on books I don't read and DVD's I don't watch. I am now at the point where I would like nice clothes (as opposed to cheap stuff - I don't think I have a work outfit that is over £30) but can't afford them until I am shot of the debt. There are so many things I want and know exactly what you mean when you say you have put yourself back years. It is so frustrating. I am trying to work out what it is I really want- long term so that i have some kind of aim to go for.
I am with you on the last paragraph too. Here we go sweetie!!

Evening all xx
So I've made a list of the things I'm going to list this week on ebay. I have all a few more photos to take, but they should be ready for uploading tomorrow. Have two bids so far-from someone with no ratings yet, so can't help but have the pessimistic side wonder what will happen there. Lots of watchers on my items, although watcher to bidder conversion sometimes never happens, fingers crossed they start to soar up tomorrow.
Minton Christmas sauce boat still hasn't arrived yet. This was something I won for £5 last week. Now I know that with 1st class recorded, the item generally gets there the next working day, five days later and still nothing? I'm going to give it until monday then I'll send them an email.I was allowing them three days for the money from Paypal to hit their account before they posted it, but no communication and it still should have been with me thursday or friday.
I've spent most of today adding up my things and playing around with the total in my signature. I think if I sold everything including my watch and earrings I could clear cc 1, that would mean that with wages been paid off the debt too I could be down to around 4k. I just sat thinking how nice that would be. I could look forward to Christmas for once, instead of dreading spending, and making my news years resolution to finally get out of debt. I want it so badly. Get bidding people, pleeeeaasse.

Just waiting for the final few hours countdown for the ebay sales. Oh I hate this bit, eek!
Anyway I've been trying to distract myself by imagining my new debt free life (pending sales a bit sooner, if nothing sells then a bit longer to get there)
I've decided that I'm going to take up piano lessons again, and when I'm a bit older and have some more cash I'd quite like to try horse riding-although I'm never going to own one probably as they're a bit on the expensive side to keep. It would be nice to have some fund hobbies that get me out the house though.
On the subject of houses, I've been looking at dream ones on Rightmove. Here is my 'one day' house. I've just been sitting here imagining walking round it, and living in it, watching tv in that lovely lounge. Is that sad? I'm sure there must be others like me out there. Anyone?
Well here it is. V, v nice.

Most of my things didn't sell which means that they are worth a lot more to me than anyone. So the overdraft isn't getting paid off all at once. I can still pay £100 off it by budgeting. I'll see how I feel about the stuff I tried to sell. Mostly perhaps this is a sign that I should just get some wear out of it all, and get to enjoy it before selling it. Most of it is unworn, and if I'm going to get £50 for a pair of unworn jimmys complete with box, then I might as well wear them.
Maybe I have to learn my lesson the hard way, or maybe this is teaching me not to drop my dreams and to make me more determined. In a way I'm glad the Jimmys didn't go. If everyone pays up, I have made £100 this week, and that's not to be sniffed at.

I change my mind about the above, I just want the whole ruddy lot gone. Bloomin typical, the belt that has been laying around for weeks, now I have actually sold it, I can't find the ruddy thing. So now on a sunday afternoon when I would much rather be relaxing, I have to instead go tearing the whole place apart trying to find it. I've got a super large headache from the one glass of rose consumed, and am right royally p'd off again-my blissed out state didn't last for long did it? Maybe I should go in for the whole naturist, naturalist? whichever it is, thing, then I wouldn't have to worry about clothes or shoes.Grrrr

And with a slick of gloss, and an application of Annick Goutal's Songes, I'm off to work. Feeling much more positive today. I'm going to apply for lots of jobs, and also looking forward to getting back into studying mode again-had a bit of a read of some of my books last night, and I still have the passion for it, which means I don't have to be doing my carppy job for too much longer.

Have a good day everyone.xx
