    Sorry one and all.

Had a flash of inspiration. If your head is in a spin make a list.

Put things into perspective too 1 year 3 months left on loan payments which are fixed, after that time all my debts will be gone and all I have to worry about is paying the household bills each month. In the year, to 5 years that I am getting good wear out of the stuff I have already, I won't be spending on any wardrobe items. Plus there will be a time when I am debt free, and because I have cut back and will continue to, then not only will I have enough money, I'll have plenty of money.

By next summer there will be a healthy £800 sat in the kitty for car insurance, car tax and mots and repairs-We both put £25 a month extra in the house kitty at the mo, and then still do this plus on top goes council tax when the break in feb and march hits. By the summer after there will be an emergency £2500 new car fund incase the one we have conks out (it currently has 145,000 miles on the clock, but is a diesel so should be good for the same again so I've been told)

Anyway night night, aplogies again for my rantings. At least I guess it shows I've turned a corner, as I actually think about money now, rather burrying my head in the sand like before.

Head is a bit clearer today, although sleep was rubbish, and woke up at 5.10.

Tonight I'm going to organise my wardrobe, so that all my work stuff is laid out neatly.

Will spend this afternoon looking for jobs.
Will try not to think about the potential job situation. I'm worrying constantly about it. I have to draw the line because how can you predict what will happen in the future?

If you thought like I did, you would never take on a mortgage for fear that you might lose your job one day. Never take a holiday because the minute you book it, the car might go wrong, etc, etc. MADNESS!

Oh and tomorrow I can update my signature. OH is asking me to pay the minimum on the cards incase the car has to have something done at the MOT. I don't want to, I want to pay all my money off this lot.

Oh sod it, i changed the signature now, because that is what I will be paying off tomorrow. If I have to fork out for the car, I'll sell some stuff. I know it's naughty updating early, but I was lagging and it is only 24hrs difference.

Well payday has finally arrived. Now unlike usual I am not going to celebrate by spending, I'm going to celebrate by having a no spend day. New me, new habits.

Still a large amount to pay off the debt still but next month I will be down to single figures, landmark point :)

October will see me 50% paid off, how cool is that?

    Mornning!

Just had a little look at the new totals on online banking etc, and it's nice to see things coming down. Slowly, yes, but surely.

Hope you have a good day everyone

  • Well done thrifty, they're definitely improving. And I like the idea of celebrating payday with a NSD. I shall adopt forthwith.

Had another extremely crap day today, have however registered the fact that I am feeling stressed and all the measures that I had put in place because of the carpstorm that was last year, have in the end been to no avail, because everyone has yet to do their work. For once I agreed with the person who causes me grief did something I was in agreement with. However they were promptly crushed by the people had no backbone when I needed them. Great. Now so tired I feel funny again.

However I have fallen in love with my clothes again, after putting on something super chic to attend the hairdressers today (they all look so glamorous, and you walk in looking like poo. Anyway that all went down the loo when I left the hairdressers with my flies undone and someone on the street had to stop me to tell me. Smooth!

After consuming half a bottle of the white wine juice with OH, I have come to the realisation that I'm awesome. FACT! That may be a tad arrogant, but everyone's allowed to be arrogant sometimes, and here's my sometime.

    xx
