OU forms sent off, did a spot of job hunting-nothing yet but there's hope. Spent an entirely dull day at work, decided why am I wasting 8 hours a day 5 days a week doing this and sitting here bored? That's a huge chunk of life spent wasted, so need to get on my career ladder. Saw a good forum on Education for sustainability. Could be tapping into an up an coming area once my studies are out the way then.

To motivate me more I redid the application that I sent for the last job I applied for, but I did it for 1 years time, 4 years time, and 8 years time, and I have to say, if I stick to the studying it looks impressive. Now just have to pick the right kind of work experience that looks like a progression alongside my studies and we're onto a winner!

Pooey hayfever has started, sore throat both sides, ulcers under my tongue (ouch they keep catching on my teeth), and eyes that look like I have cried non stop for a thousand years, how attractive!

    :)

Hope you all had a relatively ok monday.

    xx

sneeze, sneeze, sneeze. Grrr bloomin hayfever!!!

Ah well half way through day 2 back at work and ranting already. Can I "just" move a meeting that has been arranged all year when I struggled to get everyone together and arrived at the date i'm being asked to "just" change.

Can I schedule it for one of the two days where the chair does not work from work?

    Sure, why the hell not?

    ggggggrrrrrrr

On a plus note, today I tried on and resisted three dresses, two pairs of shoes, and a scarf.

    :)

    Day of hell 2

After three days back at work I'm back to my stressed and frustrated self.

Started this morning, when an email that had been sent on monday asking for a non urgent task. As we have really urgent stuff on at the moment. No urgent label on it, no deadline.

Person called this morning asking where their information was, to which I replied 'well when do you want it for, we have urgent work that needs to be done by friday. Response was 'well I wanted to send this information off this morning, and I can't send it until I have it from you, it doesn't take that long to get'.

You can imagine how livid I was!!

emailed everyone with my request that they give their request a deadline or run the risk of not getting it in time.

Wonders if ebay is going to be worth bothering with soon?

They have introduced a standard maximum £4.00 postage charge on clothing. Now for anything over the £39.99 amount the items will not be insured against loss with Royal Mail. As the item I would be selling is worth £80 they recommend Special Delivery at £5.50. So already £1.50 out of pocket minus packing materials, lunch break spent queuing up, time spend answering questions, packing and petrol to post office-16 mile round trip.

    What muppet thought that up?

They have a whole bunch of policys protecting the buyer, what about the seller.

Hello a lot of people selling valuable items will start at 99p, and raise the postage slightly, because 1) they know people are trying to get something for nothing, so they need to at least try and cover packaging costs.

    2) People will moan about the cost of postage even if it is 20p less than they paid.

I got 4/5 for my postage time. Hello I said that items would be posted at lunchtime on the day after the auction ended (because all my auctions end on a sunday night), provided that payment is received no later than 11am on morning of postage. I take lunch at 12, it figures.

When my figures started to go down from 4.9 to 4, it was those people who paid 48 hours after the auction ended and not 24 as i had requested. Ebay listing says to allow 3-5 business days for items to arrive. They arrived in 1.

    3) How tight is someone who paid 99p for a leather jacket with £4.00 for postage that came to £3 able to complain that the postage was too high???? You just got a pristine leather jacket worn 2 times max that would have cost over £150 for 99p, ok £1.99 including overpayment on postage. What kind of a world are these people living in????
