Hey Meerkats! I've just caught up with your diary :)

I'm just back from my gym induction - exercise generally being another of the things that allows my genius in procrastination to flourish! I'm not sure whether I feel absolutely knackered or really good and healthy! They have a thing called the grappler, where you haul a rope round in circles - since I have the puniest arms in the world, I hoping I can use that to strengthen them! Though was very concerned that I was too wobbly to drive home after such a shock to the system!!! (if my time mangement was better, I could actually walk to the gym! I won't while it's darker nights, but during the day - no excuses! Will try to sort that out!) Booked in to make up a programme next week and booked in to the yoga class to. Feeling verey virtuous - so lets hope I can keep it up!

It did rather mess up my planned NSD though, as I popped into Asda for bread on the way home, and also got cheese, frozen fruit (planning on making healthy smoothies) and stamps. Don't think I really need the spending diary to point out where my disappears to each month! I think I might need to start taking a set amount of cash only into the supermarket with me :D

Argh! I forgot it was Friday and that the paper boy would need paid... so that's one of the £20 notes of the £40 stashed away broken. And 'cos he's a paper boy, the change was mostly in £1 coins!

I've got a copers piggy bank and a silver tin... I wonder if I should start a £1 jar too? Otherwise those coins really are just going to disappear!

Really I need to cancel the paper boy, it's £2.70 a week, that's £10.80 every 4 weeks... that's more than I pay for my broadband every month - and I could read the paper online. I've been meaning to cancel for ages but I haven't had the heart. It might be easier if I thought he was getting his parents to help him or something, but I've seen him traipsing the street come rain, hail or shine - and let's face it, there's been much more of the first two than the latter!

Still haven't got around to writing the letter to get tax back on my professional subscriptions, and there's a pile of receipts I've not yey gone through.

I'm liking the idea of putting my spending diary into excel and making pie charts and the like to track my spending (as I've seen other folks do on their diaries) but I am absolutely clueless as to how excel works! And I'm not sure I have the patience to work it out! So scribblings and scrawling and crossings outs and addings up in various notebooks might just have to be the way it is for me. It's whether I can read them again at a later date that might be the problem :rotfl:

    Hey sweetie,

glad to hear you're getting the right medical help, a sympathetic doctor makes all the difference & well done on your gym induction too.

I'm currently experimenting with excel ... didnt know about pie charts tho ... hope there's a cherry flavour one ;)

Been distracted from anything constructive by The Godfather. I'd forgotten how much I like that movie :)

So I've eventually managed a NSD :j Largely by having a hugely lazy day, watching the rugby and not straying too far from my flat :) I think I'll schedule in a few more days like today!

I ordered a new sim from o2 today too, it won't change the budget - still £15 but I need that to keep my broadband at £7.50. However I get more free minutes and texts than I currently get so that'll hopefully help me stop going over. I hope it doesn't mess up my broadband though; calling utility companies has got to be one of my pet hates!

Trying really hard to refrain from going onto ebay just noe - I need new trackies and a swimming costume... Luckily Kill Bill is on so hopefully that'll distract me enough :D Though I've already eaten the popcorn I made tonight! Next time I make it, I should maybe try and burn it a little less :rotfl: (Still tasted good though!)

Today was much like yesterday. Nice and relaxed, slept late, got up, lazed about, contemplated going out but knew that would lead to me heading to the shops to look at swimming costumes and trackie bottoms. And invariably I'd end up buying them. Which is a bit premature given I've only made it to the gym once for my induction :rotfl:

Swimming cozzie might however need to be purchased before swimming as my old one is too big for me. I could see that as being a bit of a hindrance in the pool :D

So instead I watched the rugby, made a massive pot of soup (which I hope is ready now as I'm starving and the smell is permeating the flat!) and am currently watching Dancing on Ice. Just waht Sunday's were made for!

    And another NSD :T

Argh, stupid computer. Just wrote an entry and it's disappeared on me! I think I need to go make a cuppa. It's been one of them days - everything I touch, I knock over, spill, break... I promise I'll be careful making my cuppa!

Argh... just did exactly the same again! Think I'll need to start using word and copying and pasting, otherwise my laptop will really bare the brunt of my frustrations!

Welcome Welshangel! Good luck on Saturday! After our dismal start, I'm not holding out hope! And you'll be at home too :) I was so hoping Scotland might get their first grand slam in the six nations for Bill McLaren's memory (that and because he used to teach me PE :D) but that's not looking likely! If they can't do, it's got to be Wales! :)
