Oh! I did it. I'm not sure how! But there it is!

So sorry it's not a more striking photo! My friend I'm visiting today might have better ones as she's a better photographer than I am (most people are :D).

You aren't the only one who struggles with uploading photos - I can barely get them on F@cebook and have never put any on here - I think because I find putting them somewhere on t'internet is such a faff anyway.
Miggy, sticky toffee tea is devine. Perhaps a little less like sticky toffee pudding and more like tea with a generous swirl of caramel through it. It also smells amazing and is just what's needed in this weather. That tea shop which went into receivership but kept some shops and does a fabulous line in snazzy mugs and teapots... they sell it. If there isn't one near you, pm me. There's one near me and I can send you some. (I'm not working on commission. Honest. :rotfl:)

I know the ones - they send me emails! :D Thank you for the offer, but I think I should be okay: there's a shop not too far away (MS saving on postage - not, because I will have a train fare and buy other stuff. Wisest just to order when they have one of their tempting offers on!) I was admiring their tea pots the other day... but I don't need a tea pot, no I don't. Even if they are gorgeous. :(
The leak has stopped leaking. As I suspected, the muppets had knocked the radiator off the wall when they were clearing the flat upstairs. They stuck an old platic tin of varnish under it and didn't tell any-one. The housing association are supposedly sending me vouchers for a orange DIY store to save the hassle of claiming on insurance. Which I'm quite happy with; I saw the flat upstairs and it can't be anything more sinsiter. Only I didn't get timescales or anything so I don't know at what point I call up and create a fuss! Which I'm rubbish at doing anyway!

I would say you could legitimately chase that up after a couple of weeks at least: anything that causes damp isn't going to dry so well in this weather and that's potentially not good for you or your possessions, is it? Even if you feel fine, there are the famous Mould Spores, bleagh. How will you know when the radiator is fixed, though?

Sorry you have to stay with the pesky supervisor. People like that - grr! Just don't let his or her contrariness undermine you in the slightest hun. ;)
First things first: the debt still needs to go. And I am on track for that so it's all good!

I don't know of any life-planning websites, sorry, but I had a look at the figures in your sig and you have made a huge dent in them! Nice one. :)

Ask my OH about me measuring things before buying, I am carp at it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: If it is a significant purchase he now insists on measuring it for me :(

Loving the photo, stunning view :D

I would be chasing the factors up sooner rather than later, why should you be inconvenienced because of them (or their contractors) inability to do a job properly?

Glad you were not too disappointed about the job, I think your reaction says quite a lot.

Bank account may not be looking too healthy but that RBS number is fab :T

Have a great day with your pal even if you aren't cool enough for her son anymore  Give him a few years and he will think you are again!

Thanks for the photo. It is beautiful. Figures are looking great. As for letting one person get to you, I have been doing that lately. If you have worked out that she contradicts you how about you say the opposite of what you really think and then she will agree without knowing it! If nothing else it could amuse you.

Hmmmm websites for life planning. I dont know of any to be honest but that might be an idea for a business. I am sure that there will be some. I just read The Motivated Mind by Raj Persaud and The Road to Happiness by Dalai Llama and used them as a starting point for myself. But then I havent got to where I want to be yet but at least I am having fun trying.

:hello: Hello Nicca! MrsMoo sent me over, I read a few of the first pages and I've been lurking for a few days - still don't have time to say hello properly, but I figure there is never is, so hey ho ...

    That photo is *beautiful*!

:hello: Hello Karmacat! Lurk away :D If you are mad enough to be reading through my diary, then I can olny apologise for my numerous rantings! :o Hope to see you soon.

Maty.... should I even ask what it was you measured so wrongly? (I'd always get some-one else to triple-check my measurements too! My flat is a corner flat and there's too many angled walls. And whilst I'm glad they are there, they don't half make it difficult to measure things when you're numercially challenged.)

Miggy, I coveted a tea pot for a long time. Then Sainsbugs halved the price of their Bodum one, which is fab for leaf tea, and I've never looked back. It's not as pretty as the snazzy ones that that shop do, but it's mostly under my elephant tea cozy anyway so I don't care. Have you sent off your letter to Santa...? :rotfl:

My mystery package was the free energy monitor that was advertised on the weekly email recently. Not only had I completely forgotten about it, I was expecting it to take much longer. Now I need to be brave enough to figure out how I attach it to my electricity meter thing and just see how much electricity I spend sitting on my laptop!

Today I have been mostly catching up on sleep! In that I sat on the sofa with a cuppa and woke up four hours later! It's nice to have a Sunday to myself where it is ok to do that! Especially when I have a lot of extra shifts at second job this week so I will need that sleep banked! Even though it is a sleepover I do and I do get to sleep, it still means I'm later to bed and up earlier than I normally would be, and I'm a wee grump when I don't get enough sleep!

I am mulling over life plans in my head! And thinking of the conference, or specifically, the graphic facilitation of the conference. We were offered training on graphic facilitation and I'm hoping that offer is still on the table (person offering it may have a new job in another country) as I think that's the way for me to capture all the things I want to do at some point in the future. I think that way, the order in which I need to do them or the links needed between certain things will be easier for me to see and understand.

Two short term goals right now: RBS! (Obviously) and the course on setting up in private practice on Saturday. Then I'll let things mull over until the new year and see if I can be more specific by the time I update my totals at the end of January.

MrsMoo, I have "Joyful Wisdom; Embracing change and finding freedom" so between that and the "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", I expect to be Superwomen by 2012! :rotfl:

I just need to share just how chuffed I am that I decided to upgrade my Spotify (music website like Napster) from the free one to the unlimited. I have spent the day just listening to music and moving through the genres and decades by just listening to bands I don't know much about by clicking on the related music links of the bands I do like. I don't think I'll need my TV any more. :D

I can highly recommend it as a way of spending a Lazy Sunday Afternoon (though that wasn't one of the songs I listened too :rotfl:)

Ooo, two new books for me to look up. Naughty Nic.... leading me astray. Not sure if it might help but I did a Springboard for Women course some years ago and I think that helped me to start focusing and life planning. Think they have a website but not sure if you learn much from the site or better to go on a course.

Wondered what spotify was, need to investigate it. I am intrigued by the graphic facilitation course too so I will head over to google and see what I can find out.

I joined the gym today and they have yoga classes so I may go to a few. Have done tai chi but only ever done Gerry Halliwells yoga video so not really sure about yoga.

As I'm sure you suspected, I love yoga! I'd urge you to give it a go and keep at it. There's lots of different types, and it might depend on your teachers, so try a few if you need to until you find a techer you're comfortable with.

The teacher I liked focused on helping you concentrate on your breathing and listening to your body so you hold poses or go further in to poses as it suits you. I went to another class which was much more competitive and the teacher kept trying to get me to do way more than my body can cope with! I didn't go back.

And remember, every-one is different. I love poses that involve standing strength as I have the strength in my legs. I'm awful at any that involve forward bends because I have a weak core and tight hamstrings. So don't compare yourself to others; just figure out what you need to do for you and your body. And never skip the relaxation! It's the best bit! Still that monkey mind! :D

And if you want another DVD, Om Magazinge (Sainsbugs sell it) has a free DVD with their magazine this month.

I think the Seven Habits book probably has a website as they do training. And you'll probably find the author of Joyful Wisdom on TED talks (Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.)
