    next steps...
    - get my final account closed to simplify my finances
    - pay off my one card once 0% finishes on my next bill
    - sort out a budget for spends on my skycard (cashback type thing)
    - get more quidco/pigsback savings on the go!
    - start working on the house, even if it's a little job a week
    - keep working at the diet and gyming and keep working on making me happier with myself
    - start trying to see my friends more often, even if it's just for dvd's. think last night was the first time i'd done anything other than work/work out since new year!

well it's the end of another month and it has sooooo flown by! Thought I'd have a look back over the goals I set myself for Feb and hopefully give myself a wee boost with good results, here's how I did...

-bank account cleared and closed, I only have one current account now!
-one card cleared, cancelled and cut up (see my avatar!)
-I did set a budget for this but unfortunatly my time away blew it slightly, will replan for this and do better in march
-got another voucher coming from pigsback and £170 ish due from quidco in the near future! also expecting a voucher from lightspeed and valued opinions!
-I have purchased a few bits that mean doing the house is a little step closer, though must make more effort to get it done!
-diet is going as well as ever (ignore the snickers taste in my mouth) but gym slipped while I was off....was difficult to get there from England! will get back in the flow of things this month. weigh in tomorrow though so I'll let you know how I get on
-erm I'm not sure how I did with the friends thing...I was out with them last night after college and had a couple of nights out with them too

That seems to be mostly positive so :j for me! :rotfl:

Now what to do with March? This is not going to be the best month for me financially, due to this being the second 5 week month in a row I have two mortgage payments to make, I put enough for all this aside and was fine, till I realised that beign paid on the 30th means I also have my skycard to pay again before my wages come in  I've a couple of thoughts on how I'll deal with this, but as it's so far in the future I'm not going to worry too much. It's going to be a tight month but I know I can do it!

    So here's the actual goals...
-do proper weekly budgets and put 100% into achieving them
-find more quidco/pigsback/voucher deals to boost savings
-get back to gym 5 times a week and improve diet
-get work done on the flat!!!
-attempt to end the month on as much of an even financial keel as possible

there's unfortunatly not much else I can do this month, once I get it over with I can start hitting back at the world! Personally this month has been a hard one, I've cried more tears than I ever feared I would in such a short space of time. I've spent most of the month confused, hurting and distracted and this has to end. I wish there were easy answers to this but there aren't I can only try to make March a happier time for me. And I'm so sure I can do that, it's the first 'spring' month, the weather will start picking up and the world will start becoming a nicer place to be!

Well here's to March every one  I hope it brings you lots of :D

well it's been a good weekend up here, got a chance to catch up with my dad's family on friday. I don't get to see them very often (met my cousins hubby for the first time, their eldest child is now 5...you get the picture?) and it was lovely to see how they are doing. Swapped numbers with my cousin who lives up here so hopefully we'll meet up more often.

Financially it's been a super week, my initial budget of £70-£95 was well and truly over and I actually spent £30odds :j this week I'm setting a budget of £34, £15 of it is for food as I need a few store cupboard bitties (got two huge boxes of cereal for £2.80 which should last a month!).

I've decided that my savings jar is going to be used for a red nose day t shirt...dunno why but it's for charity so it's a good thing! £12.99 needed for that, if I change my mind then I'm attempting to save up £40 and buying myself a new pair of trainers for the gym, these are badly needed as the pair I currently wear are 9 years old!

took the cheap nasty silver one in the end and just left it hidden under my chair all night...oh except when my friend decided to call me in the middle of my dads speech  noone EVER calls me and my phone is usually on silent...the one time both things happen at the same time...good thing they saw the funny side of it :rotfl:

mrs s, i think everything just got on top of me, mostly man troubles as usual  either it gets better in march or i'm joining a convent!

as for the shopping, it's good for the dfw side of things but not for the ffw side... i keep getting told off at the gym for not eating enough! i guess it's something that is much easier by yourself, you can limit treats and things in a way thats difficult to impose on an oh. I don't think I'd manage half so well if my ex were still here.

You know what cat I think your right! Black is a very flattering colour for more rounded individuals but not when it's shaped like a tent...besides I'm not so rounded these days! :D

Anyway the amazingness that is me would be wasted locked in a room and worshipping god...it aught to be locked in tha castle of a prince charming and forced to worship him ;) :rotfl: Perhaps I should carry o holding out for a hero???
