aw thanks hun! i really did feel like a princess in it too! am gonna dust it off at new years and wear it then too! i'm gonna change my avatar so everyone can see, maybe just for a wee bit tho! as for the man, there was a funny story to it, the kind that'll be mentioned at our wedding day...if we get that far i mean! :rotfl: trying NOT to stalk this one lol

i guess the hardest bit for you losing weight will be finding time for it, i know lots of new mums do. i signed someone up at work shortly before xmas to lose her baby weight, her daughter was about 3 but it was the first she was able to as her daughter is a wee mummies girl! so cute though! maybe get a couple of exercise videos to start off with. i'd suggest one thats made up of smaller sessions so you can squeeze a quicky in while the wee ones napping it might be hard to fit in a whole one hour session. any advice about exercise or diet give me a shout, if i can't help you i can guarentee i know someone who can!

i'm pleased to say i'm not someone who sits like a lemon in front of the tv. i used to watch 24 till that finished last week, apart from that it's music channels on sky, which i will miss out on the pleasure of shortly :(

my tv is mostly on (as it is now) with music playing while i'm online or on my sewing machine. i can watch dvds on my pc, which is what i may have to do.

i totally object to paying tv license and always have done since i had sky, it's like paying twice! i wonder what the chances are of them actually popping round to check i don't have a tv? it's not like they'll ever pick up a signal to it???

Ditch the tv, sell it. What do you watch ?

Everything you watch is online !

  • You wanna watch the news on TV - you can watch it online !

Want to watch a comedy on TV - watch it online !

Want to watch a documentary - Watch it online !

Only thing is things like soaps, and movies.

Hmmmmm, depends on how much TV you watch I suppose

    hey pressley

the post you quoted is quite old now. i've not had tv here since august, i am however getting it back in january.

the one thing i can't live without is my weekly fix of 24 (keifer sutherland). i know i could probably download it and watch it on my pc, but it's just not the same. i'll revisit my soa next week to see whats the best way to organise it to allow for sky to come back, recently i have started to miss it, but when 24 finished again next summer it'll probably go again.

i don't know what words to use to describe it, but it was so nice to spend an hour once a week on my !!! not on the sewing machine, or doing budgets etc etc, doesn't happen very often with me. i'd also have my weekly bag of crisps then too.

hi lynseyjane, just read this diary from start to finish and can totally understand how you feel about being young and going out and also dealing with your debts. dont worry about the little slipups, you seem to always get back on track.

all the best for 2007... i will be reading.

    take care

thanks winkle1, always nice to know someones keeping an eye on me, i defo need it! went into asda today for my food shop, and came out with two skirts and a pair of combats, tho they only came to £18!

today i'm feeling a little melencholy again, probably to do with being soooooo bored at work, oddly enough noone wants to go to the gym over xmas! but my xmas man hasn't been in touch...how long do men normally leave it before getting in touch with girls? i know i'm being paranoid and silly, i got a happy xmas reply on monday, but i'm so used to guys treating me like crap (yet for some reason i bounce back and on to the next one) it's unusual for me to find a nice guy, let alone one who wants to see me again! i'm defo not getting in touch with him tho, balls in his court as they say!

moneywise, meh, not the best day, like i said i spent about £25 in total in asda today. i spent £35 in la senza the day before...and tomorrow i'm going to the sales, i badly need a new coat (this one fits a big jumper and some under it!) and new trousers, i have two pairs of jeans at the moment, one needs a belt to stop them falling round my ankles even when they are fastened! i'll stick to primark/high street to soften the blow.

hopefully this will let me on long enough to post. hardly been able to get on while they do the works on here.

anyway as the title says it's a new start. 2007 is going to be my year, it's going to be the best year ever (so far at least).

the only resolution i plan to make is to make it fantastic. my goals for this year are,
    - lose remaining weight, about a stone, by my birthday in october
    - get myself out of debt as early as possible, at least by october
    - take myself off on holiday for my birthday, seems like a great time for a first holiday!
    - make a start on ticking off my 'things to do before i die' list!

i'm going to achieve this by taking 2007 one day at a time. i've even bought a day to view diary to help :D

each day i'm going to do one 'healthy' thing and one 'money' and one 'lifestyle' thing. if i can manage that for 364 days life will be perfect! doesn't need to be big things, but so long as i do something it'll make me feel like i'm being good. and i'll post it on here so you guys can encourage me/kick me up the butt as required!

day one, jan 1st, i volunteered to work. this was 'money' positive as it meant i got time and a half for the time i worked. it was good for lifestyle as it meant i didn't get totally wasted on hogmany which also helps money wise! healthy wise, well i was working the whole time the gym was open so...i didn't drink so much!?! :rotfl:

day two, jan 2nd. i did an hour and a half in the gym after work. i organised my recycling (for the first time in ?months) for going out today and i picked up xmas wrap reduced in asda, 60p and all my wrapping for the next 10 years is sorted :D it's a long term moneysaving thing!

day three, jan 3rd. i did a yoga class after work, then a (very) short swim then half an hour in the steam room to relax (just as important as working hard in the gym). lifestyle wise i bought a diary today so i can better organise my time and the things i need to do. money wise...well i might have spoken to my boss about getting a promotion at work, it's only maternity cover, but it's more money for at least six months, plus it'll look great on my cv. now i just need a 'cover letter' type thing and i have three weeks to show him how great a 'head receptionist' i can be!

    day four,

well folks, i have to say this is the best day of 2007 so far.

healthwise, well i skived the gym as i think i'm coming down with the cold and don't wanna make it any worse, but i ate scrambled eggs for breakfast. now to most thats not big, but i HATE eggs, with a passion, they feel slimy yeauch, but i need to eat them cause they have lots of nutrients that i need.

lifestyle, i trimmed my fringe this morning...yeah i know thats kinda pathetic really! but i also got up early enough to shower, do the dishes and a few other house things before work. i'm usually someone who gets out of bed at the last minute and rushes in, even when i do start at 12!

moneywise....now this is the good news my darlings and the reason i'm saying hip hip hooray to hbos today...god i'm sooooooo happy! they paid my charges and interest into my account today! i logged on to discover my accounts over £800 heavier than it was last night! my excellent sleuth skills deciphered it as my charges! guess i better go to the court at some point and tell them!

anyway i'm so happy i'm away to eat a whole garlic bread in celebration. normally i'd use it as an excuse to go out boozing at the weekend, but i'm behaving so i'll eat this instead, yummy!
