Free stationary from Royal Mail

I rang and was told I would need to apply for a "K" number at the main post office. It begins K00 and is for businesses. I wont do this as this will register a house as a business.

[Just phoned RM and to get the free bags and you need a company account number, so no joy there for me to get something for nothing.

I called for these and, when asked, said they were for personal use. I was politely, but firmly, told that the RM service of providing these bags was primarily for business use. If I required the bags for personal use, I should ask for a 'couple' as and when I needed them from my local PO.

Will ask next time I am in and see what they say.................

Just make up a business name. Plenty of people run businesses from their homes these days. Whether you get them sent to you or fetch them from PO they are still free so no harm done IMO for a little white lie.

I have just tried calling, the lady asked what my business name was(which i made up), and when she saw it was a residential address, she said they couldnt send the free envelopes to residential addresses and suggested i pick some up at my local P.O.

They must have changed the rules then. Oh well they are still free,just have to collect them now.
