  • I love Sudocrem - it's one thing I couldn't live without (the other thing is E45 cream). I use it on my face at night and it works wonders. I think it's the zinc in it that helps.

But anyway, glad to hear that you got a refund :)

Hmm... starting to think I might be missing a trick with this Sudocrem... I might try it on my face tonight. But it's just so thick and waxy!

i got an epilator when avon had an offer on and use that for underarms but i do pay to have my legs and bikini waxed (£20) the epilator is brill and as others have said really seems to slow the hair regrowth down.
I can't use an epilator on my legs :o I use it for my underarms though. I wax my eyebrows and do my own bikini waxing (hollywood, sorry if TMI for some people :p) - the shapes you need to get into are interesting :rotfl: - And then I shave my legs.

Haven't used veet since it took the top layer of skin off (didn't leave it longer than suggested!) and even having my trousers rub against my knee was pure agony

Haven't used much else up, and still haven't bought anything else :j

Around the calf isn't so bad, but at the very bottom it totally kills! I went to have a leg wax for a wedding once and the girl told me to stop being a wimp :o I was wincing every time she tore the strip off.

Funnily enough, I can wax other people all day and I don't feel a thing :D

I used to be waxed at a salon unntil I boughtI epilater.

Legs are relatively pain free, under arms are a bit more painful.

Bikini line is a no! no! and really painful as I found out to my cost. I caught my skin in a few places and was left with what looked like love bites & bruises . We went away at the weekend for our anniversary and hubby's face was a picture when he spotted what I had done :o.

  • Frankly, university was the easiest time to avoid spend, I had a full on job and there simply weren't enough hours in the day!
Snap, my course included terms with 35hr weeks of lectures, then terms with 35hr week at the hospital plus study/ papers to do when not training, shopping was a rare occurance as i also had a house to run with my then oh who worked 2hrs away in the car, so lucky old me ended up with most of the chores too:eek:.
I've never touched alcohol n my life! Hard to believe :P We don't need those vouchers girls!!
Not really, i think this is getting more common with a small minority of the population, then there are muslims, strict jews amongst others etc
Totally unacceptable. I think they should DNA test it, have them clean it themselves, then expel them. Disgusting. I might link this to the debate forum, where we are yelling about students...they'll love this.

Sadly, that was my first thought. If I was paying for DD to stay in those halls, that's what I'd be shouting for!

Just had my bath. Slathered myself with Deadseasource de-stress ginger souffle. I'm not keen on the ginger scent which is probably why I havent used it before now. I think I got it for my birthday (Aug) in 2008 :o Actually its not so bad. Just letting it sink in and I'll stick foot balm on. Are we all wearing socks tonight? ;)

have lots of blisters from swollen feet on city break at the weekend...I think I've go the skin on my feet TOO soft.:o so best not.
  • Finally caught up wow we can talk on here.
Regarding the waxing / epilating thing, i once used an epilator, never again, waxing isnt painless but its a lot quicker imho so its my hair removal method of choice, but i tend to get bikin line done at salon. This was after an embarrasing incident when i couldnt get the wax strip of . I had to [STRIKE]walk[/STRIKE] waddle downstairs and ask the dh what to do doh (insert cofused symbol) why ive no idea, like he's been in this situation before???1! He laughed his pants of whilst i tried to get it of in the shower with hot water, doh again. I then had to try and dry off and then rub oil into the skin to get it of.:rotfl::rotfl: It was the boots expert ones, which i hadnt used before, so i took the open and unoped packets back and very briefly explained what had happend and got animmediate refund, whilst the sa was killing herself laughing:rotfl:
Did get my hair cut and coloured today though, my salon had the special on today so booked myself in asap.
Also have registered on risi so thanks for that tip, hopefully will get some books on there soon.
Made a lovely prawn curry today and thankfully everyone ate it, my lot are well fussy:p.
Good luck with the ebaying and stash using everyone.

    See ya later

    Nab

    xx
