Hiya
Juyst quickly popping in - have skim read but dont have time to full catch up although Rosemary- do take care of yourself x
Few things to report here:
We ran out of shampoo this morning! End of the stash was reached, so I took myself past boots clearance to see if there was any trevor sorbie left ( there was)
The M&S coconut "scrub" has now gone, most of it slicked down the drain it was so plasticky. WIBA- NO NO NO NO NO- total carp.
was v restrained in Boots clearance- got 2x TS shampoo ( soothe, I know we both like this one) and a small body scrub to see what thats like for 20p. ( one "go" so prob a bit overpriced when I think about it) I grabbed loads of "stuff" and then looked at it and put it all back, firstly by smelling the shower gel ( urgh no thanks) and then looking at the amount ( do I need 7 shampoos at the mo? NO!!) So I just got 2.
Im actually rather skint this month, so every quid I spend on toils I DONT NEED is a quid I really really need somewhere else in the budget.
Edging towards the end of my Hydra-fresh, only a couple more days in it. I have one more day moisturiser in stores then I need to consider buying something else. I might go with revitalift day- after all I know I like it so why mess with the program?
I had elle Mcpherson last year, I wouldn't rave about it at all distinctly average product - packaging was nice but that's all it had going for it TBH., I wouldn't buy it again. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
OK...I just got my spaceNK newsletter with an advertised offer to book a lip consultation. I've never taken up one o these, but it might be a way to get a cosmetic buzz. a: I don't know how to book it...any one know, do you call the store? And also is it allowed in the challenge? Its free?.0

Hi everyone.
Just caught up as I haven't been on this thread since last month but am delighted and encouraged by how everyone is doing so well. :A
I've gone through my stash which is mainly confined to shower gels and bath foams, body/cream lotions and soaps. Have only bought one soap since November so quite chuffed with myself. However, not getting through my stash very well even resorted to using my 500ml L'occitane cherry blossom as a hand wash as although I love it I've worked out that I have 2340 ml  of shower/bath products to go through. And that is after I have sorted out quite a few things for gifts over the next year.
Also, I've had a reminder card through the post that L'occitane are having a TSV this Sunday but there is no way I am going near the TV. (Or their website).
Now I'm not buying bath or body products though I'm starting to buy more skincare which I'm thinking...... I must keep under control. Is anyone else doing this?
Going to be logging onto this thread alot more I think for all your wonderful support.:)0 -
I put mine on as soon as I've washed, my face gets tight otherwise. I put body butter on straight after bath/shower too as it glides on better and you use less! This is still MSE after all :rotfl: :money:
As soon as I'm out of the bath. My skin is too dry to leave it too long.topbargainhunter wrote: »We didn't think that, we were just intrigued how you do it. I work in a Uni and most of the students don't pay their fees or rent because they are so skint (so they say). We are cynical and assume it's spent on getting drunk. :rotfl:
I'm a mature student and I'm really jealous of the students who dont have part time jobs. I'd be in the library 40 hours a week if I could :rotfl:
However, we have some real mingers at uni. We all got an email today regarding the student halls (I dont live in halls, just as well) to say that it was unacceptable for students to urinate and defecate in the corridors :eek::eek::eek::eek: I'd rub their f e c k ing noses in it, dirty barstewards!!!!
I'll leave that delightful thought with you all while I go and have my bath0 -

Totally unacceptable. I think they should DNA test it, have them clean it themselves, then expel them. Disgusting. I might link this to the debate forum, where we are yelling about students...they'll love this.0 -
Roaemary, I hope your tablets do the job and your feeling better soon
Debi, your ankle sounds painfulgood job you've got it propped up... hopefully it won't be swollen for too long.
I'm glad other people like the No7 tinted moisturiser!! I only bought it because it was so highly rated on the website. I'm not good at buying foundation so this tinted stuff is a massive achievement for me and doesn't feel heavyI tried mixing foundation and moisturiser together last week but it was very streaky and seemed to separate on my face.
CompletelyLost, a tinted moisturiser might work to cover redness, it certainly covered some dry blotchy patches on my skin today. It might be worth trying to get some samples if you can.
If I buy from Boots online how do I get the points on my card? Just put the card in the machine in the shop... do I have to use my card number or anything? Thanks for explaining the vouchers to me btw lol... snowy, skinny..... WOW it was going totally over my head hehe.Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
Today I've been "pampering myself" by slathering on lots and lots of Sudocrem. Oh yes.
Before you start thinking I've discovered a little-known beauty secret, the reason I've been using this horrible product is because I came out in a huge rash the other day, all over my chest, neck and ears. It seems the cause was my Lush Vanillary perfume. I went into Lush and explained, and even though I had no receipt or box, they gave me a full refund in cash!! :T
So that's one less thing to use up, and £25 back in my pocket0 -

Hi ladies still catching up xx
I'm currently plodding through a bottle of Palmers Cocoa Butter extra rich formula for stretch marks (nope, no idea why I bought it - oh yes it was on the clearance shelf at £1 :rotfl:). There are probably about 4 uses left in it but knowing my luck it will stretch out to about 10! I'm annoyed that I didn't just eBay it instead if opening it. It is not luxurious, it smells minging and I can't wait to finish it and start on something nicer! WIBA: Now let me think... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Dont you just hate it when this happens.
Bless you, what a lovely post. Sorry for my post, I just get like this when OH and I argue (which happened earlier). I will give it some thought, don't want to waste the best years of my life with the wrong person and all that...
I do hope you sort it out with the oh, i always feel really emotional after an argument, with the dhs mental health issues, he can say some awful things that he doesnt mean and is so sorry for afterwards, and although i am getting better at dealing with this it still hurts:(.Excellent post!!!!!!!I too love having time to myself, and having the house to myself for an evening/weekend is a particular treat. Wish OH would go out more without me (who are these women who don't let their OHs out of their sight, how claustrophic that must be!).
Mags30, you don't know how lucky you are :rotfl:You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)0
