This is a new thing, surely? I don't remember this when I was a kid, horse flies, midges etc, but not persistent mosquitos?

You're right! H2B is down south at the moment and he was bitten by a mosquito! It swelled up quite badly as well

Another arguement for global warming I suppose..

Yes, we keep having horrid reactions. Huge ones. OTOH not sure how great loads of repellant is either...bites or chemicals? :(

    Evening everybody
Well...I have had a few new bits but I didn't spend money on them so technically I haven't done anything wrong?
I have had soap&glorys hot cloth cleanser and 2 huge bags of reduced cotton wool from boots yesterday which My mum kindly paid for-I think I will put £5.99 for the soap&glory and £1.28 for the wool into my baby fund as I would have bought them myself.I really wanted to try the hot cloth cleanser and the cotton wool will be useful for when baby arrives. The wool is actually a pack with triple the normal size of a standard pack(like a pillow size) bargain at 64p each.
On saturday Hubby treated me to a lovely urbun decay pallette which I admired as we shopped(again from boots)I had been thinking of using points but have been saving them to put towards things for baby.He spent £35 and I did manage to get 540points plus a skincare voucher.
I am also passing lots of items to sis who is going on holiday on sunday so will note those in another post.
    Love can tame the wildest

That is so nice of you. What a lovely newbie:happyloveLoving the product reviews too.

    What's wrong with the no7 P+P?

Oh no, nothings wrong with it. Its just that its so expensive.
I have spent years and goodness only knows how much money on trying to find the fountain of youth from a lotion or potion.
I now realise that enough sleep, happiness, good food and plain water (yuk:() and a spf15 cream are all it takes to keep you looking your best.
Did I mention chocolate and sex too? Not necessarily at the same time:D

I was a marketing man's dream, but not any more :)
  • Welcome to the thread :) and well done for doing a stock take, I think it helps a lot to see exactly what you've got.

Just a question... why so much insect repellent? :p

    There's a mouse in there to ;)

  • it's of the celery family so it has a hint of celery but not over powering, it really makes a nice change :)
I may give it a go, but I really don't like celery :silenced:

On Saturday I went to the Estee Lauder counter in Debenhams to get my 10 day free sample of their foundation which best suits me. The SA told me that from the end of February they are giving away a free gift set if you buy 2 products. I just thought about letting you know in case anyone on this thread are planning to buy from them and that you might be better holding on for a few weeks.

Sales addict (sorry I cannot remember the other people's names) - I am sorry to read about your loss. Take your time and get rid off things when you are ready to this. Perhaps grief and your issues with shopping are related? I certainly got more anxious for a long time after losing my sister and dad. I found talking to the bereavement charity CRUSE a couple times really helped me and after that I never felt embarrassad about my grief. Hope your dad's treatment is going well.

    I was gonna say that:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Way to go SA! You have quite a stash there! Now all you have to do is work out what to do with it, cos you would have to spend all day every day either bathing or slathering it on in order to use it, I think:). Well done for plucking up the courage to post those pics! Keep looking at them every time you "feel the urge" and I think it should help quite a bit!

I just can't compete at all on this thread!:o I sorted out all the [STRIKE]ancient[/STRIKE] old stuff that wasn't fit for use anymore and managed to get all the other stuff back in quite a lot less space (and all in the bathroom cupboards) and am just working my way through it at a slightly more concerted pace (ie I am actually using moisturisers, etc:o).

Haven't been a good girl though, I actually bought my first ever bath float (cos it was only £1.35 in Tesco in the managers special baskets last weekend) and then treated myself to my first ever body butter to match at £5.00!:o Liking them a lot! They are by Normandie and smell of lemons and I really am enjoying them but feel guilty every time I come on here:o

I also bought some oils for the oil cleansing method - but these were for DS2 so don't feel a moments guilt for this as they are clearing up his spotty T-zone quite beautifully:D

thankyou Moggy, I have got the photos on my phone.
